Please have Dotan back. He is a great photographer and teacher. I first became familiar with him through a presentation at B&H. Simplifying the equipment used on a project has improved my photography. I have changed from zooms to three primes, but generally, I only use the one prime lens which fits the project. I recently took photos of three children, ages 5 weeks, 2 months, and 1 year, all with just a 50mm lens. Great results and minimum post made the whole experience fun with better consistency, Once you get really familiar with each focal length, you "know" which will work best in a given situation. When I used primarily zooms, I never paid much attention to the focal length and used the zoom as a framing device which is a real mistake. What an incredible photographer. I've literally just bought the book and can't wait to view it. Great interview!

Thank you. I’ve learned so much on this interview. I really like the way you lighten and darken to bring or distract attention. The Batman picture when you darkened the corner was really effective. I’ve a lot of my B&W pictures to edit now 😊. I also never thought of changing the structure to attract or distract attention

Great pictures and good lesson on how a single fixed lens can outperform a bag full of zooms if you master it. Thank you for this one and please keep up the good work!

Interesting you use a 35mm lens. I have a canon crop sensor camera and I love my 24mm pancake lens that I guess works out to 38mm full frame. It’s a tiny lens and people don’t notice it so much, it fits similar to human field of vision and it’s just so much fun to use.

I have the 2017 free version of Nik Collection, but it's quite annoying using with Capture One, five steps to open the image in Nik, and sometimes the adjustments I did in Nik don't show on the tiff file in C1, although they're still there when I export. Can you please tell the DxO -team to make a better version of Nik Collection for Capture One users!

Hi Dotan
i know you use Leica and are superb but if somebody was to use say a fuji x100f as an example how close whould you get to the Leica image quality, fantastic images by the way, cheers Jeff

Very inspirational!!!! Very, very educational!!!! I’ve got a great camera that does everything and does it well, but I keep finding myself going to black and white and then feeling guilty because I didn’t shoot color. I’ve got a serious problem!!!!!!!!!
