Exploring connections across texts deepens students’ understanding of their studied text and enhances their essays.  Here, I go over simple tools you can use to help your high school class explore:
• Connections between two texts.
• Connections between multiple texts.
• Intertextuality – finding your text’s ‘heritage’ by connecting it with literary traditions and genre.

Helpful not just for enhancing the study of your class text, but also for those focusing on investigations into connections across texts.
