Each of yall should pull up a picture of your first boat you fished out as a kid or that you owned yourself. Then tell us about the boat and best fishing story in that boat! Love the new Pod series!

Toledo Bend has a lunker program and they tag all the bass turned in over 10lbs. One bass was caught in Hausen Bay, was weighed in above the pendleton bridge and released. The same bass was caught again 6 months later back in Hausen Bay. That is a long swim.

A "podcast" is called that because the term is a combination of the words "iPod" and "broadcast," essentially referring to the ability to listen to audio content, like a radio broadcast, on an Apple iPod, which is where the medium gained significant popularity when the term was coined. Taken from Google…not like I knew or even wondered….😂

Great after the cast, Andy, you’ve done outstanding. Now I will throw in my two cents worth about the Bass in the shade.

Bass are drawn to shade for several key reasons:
1. Ambush Hunting – Bass are ambush predators, and shade provides the perfect cover for them to hide and strike unsuspecting prey, like baitfish or insects.
2. Cooler Water – Shade keeps the water temperature lower, which is especially important in the summer when bass seek relief from the heat. Cooler water also holds more oxygen, making it more comfortable for bass.
3. Reduced Light Sensitivity – Bright sunlight can be harsh on a bass’s eyes. Since they don’t have eyelids, they prefer low-light areas where they can see more effectively without straining.
4. More Prey Activity – Many baitfish and aquatic creatures also seek shade, creating an easy food source for bass hiding nearby.
5. Energy Conservation – Staying in shaded areas helps bass conserve energy by reducing their need to constantly adjust to changing light conditions or chase prey in open water.

That’s why fishing around docks, overhanging trees, lily pads, or submerged structures can be so effective!

I really enjoy the show! You guys all work well together. I have found whether it is work or play, the people you are around is what makes it enjoyable. Good luck and God bless all 3 of you!

My thought on why bass like shade.  If you are setting in a dark area (shaded) looking out into a light area it is easy to see something (forage) come by.    Kind of like if you are in a building looking out a window with the inside lights off and it is bright out or there are outdoor lights on, isn't it easier to see what is going on outside that window then it would be if it was the reverse.

Love watching you three...three of my favorite fisherman period.  Look forward to more episodes!

Hey fellers I am an old timer now and as I was growing up the old timer’s used to say that fish move up the river in spring and back down in the fall.

As far as bass liking shade. I've got a 6 acre pond in my yard and I sit on the porch and watch. Mass of predators but they're prey too. I think it's a lot to camouflage themselves from birds. They are hunted enough that a buzzard can fly over and if the bass are in Open water, you'll see them spook and run. And on top of that bass like a hard edge line 4 transition. Weather for a bank changes from Sand to Clay, grass to Rock. I think those shade lines create a hard edge for them

I love the addition of word of the week. Good luck and God Bless.

When I’m on Texoma next week I’m gonna have to look for those backward swimming bass Edwin was imitating with the water going down. Good luck this week fellas. Appreciate you guys sharing the gospel.

Great job, Edwin.  Go ahead and win the thing!  Tough tourney for Ott and Andy.  If Ott and Andy are hanging around till Sunday doing sponsor jobs, we'd love to have y'all in our church.  Emmanuel Baptist.  About two miles for Ski Beach.  Bible Study at 9:00.  (My wife says the teacher, her husband,  has the same sense of humor and joy as you three.)  Worship service at 10:30.  Small, Southern Baptist Church.  Pastor is from Alabama.  Y'all would feel welcome.

POD cast came from combining the old iPod and broadcast because they started back in early 2000s when iPods were popular and digital radio/music became a thing

You guys are the best of the best. You’re just down to earth even though very blessed to do what you do for a living. A lot of people watch you professional fishermen to learn how to be a better fisherman but you guys do that but also show people what’s really important and that’s how to be a better person, husband, father, etc. Keep this up. It works. Thanks. Jeff.

This show is such an inside look of fishing. Best part is we are hearing  the word of God as well. Thank you so much guys.

Keep this in mind when those warm sunny (Andy Montgomery) kind of days are  upon you.  Shady spots offer cooler water temperatures, which are more comfortable for bass. They will move to cooler, shaded areas to avoid stress and overheating.  God bless and hope you catch a bass of a life time!

Amen and amen

Three of my all time favorites

Y’all 3 are some of my favorites to watch but I haven’t watched any professional fishing in 2 yrs. So I appreciate any content y’all put out aside from the actual tournament. I Wii watch NPFL this year since they’ll be actually fishing.

Yall talking about fishing swimming up current and i know yall have been to neely henry where I live but auburn university did a study a year ago and they had fish that were tagged and released from a tournament we had here in the spring and I got to see some of the research they did from a friend's kid that was in school there and he showed me where fish that were caught in canoe creek went back to where they were caught.  One did in a few days one took a week and one took 2 months but that blew my mind!  I had no idea they would go that far back to their home.
