I'm a guy with two little girls. This documentary made me cry. I love my girls so much I wouldn't trade them in for a million sons. They are such a blessing.

Can’t understand why one has to pay a man to marry their daughter. It’s as if you are paying to take a burden off of the parents. How shameful!

I have 4 children, 3 of which are girls & I can't imagine ever abandoning them at birth. I love them the same as my son, they bring me so much joy.

India: "We prefer sons"
Also India: "Why aren't there brides for our prefect sons?"

My parents have 2 daughters, and the amount of bullying they got from everyone around them was ridiculous. They asked then why don’t you give birth to a boy next.
My mom was like how many sons do you have.
An old lady answered 5 (with pride).
Then my mom asked and how many of them are taking care of you?
The lady answered none, because they’re busy with fheir wives, I live all alone.’
So my mom answered back, ‘So because your sons abandoned you, you would want others also to be abandoned to give birth to a son too? I don’t want such a misfortune in my life, Im sorry you have 5 of it.’

Its a double edge sword: You want a boy to bring in wealth when he marries but how are they to find a bride if their are no enough girls to be married?

What a sweet, kind woman running the orphanage.

If they don't want girls: make adoption easier so those of us that would appreciate them can actually adopt. International adoptions cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Education need education. I know lots of Indian women, smart mostly in field of science and engineering. Hats off to this woman.

Can't even call these people animals because animals care for their babies more than these things that feel absolutely nothing abandoning or selling their own flesh. This woman is amazing for helping heal their broken hearts and showing them the love their mother should have

If everybody keeps killing the girls, who are the boys suppose to marry?? This is so devastating…
I got aware about the problem, when Aamir Khan aired Satyamev Jayate in 2013.
Thank you for your service to society! 🙏
