This is getting WILDLY conflicting reactions..

This tried to be elevated horror only to turn into goofy schlock. To it's credit, the actress playing the daughter was really good despite her young age.

You are totally correct in my opinion. It was all over the place and I don’t like when monsters or demons have unexplainable power during the movie, but once the main character has an epiphany, suddenly the monster is vulnerable and defeated by the power of love

I really want to see other mommy just for the titular character of other mommy played by the very other mommy-esque Jessica Chastain. This is a pre-review comment. I'm nervous its going to be atrocious but if it's atrociously funny I might want to see it even more.

When I read Incidents Around the House I expected the movie reviews to align with the book reviews. I wasn’t too impressed with the book. The most compelling parts of the book were when Other Mommy showed up but there was still a lot of unanswered questions and questionable choices the author took. I’ll still see it just out of curiosity. Appreciate your honest review.
