: “India was always part of global civilization, not separate from it.”

Hello, William Darlymple.
Thankyou for being brutally honest and true.  We want the truth and it doesn't matter if it's bad news or good news.  In today's world, every narrative is politically driven and biased,   Especially from India.

1st – 3rd Century CE: Early Cheras (Sangam Age). Part of the broader Tamilakam culture.
• 800 – 1102 CE: Second Cheras (Kulasekharas). Based in Kodungallur. This is when the Malayalam identity and language truly branched out.
• 12th – 18th Century: Era of the Nattu-rajakkal (Local Kings). The land was a mosaic of small, independent principalities.
• 1729 – 1947: Consolidation of Travancore and Kochi as major Princely States alongside British-ruled Malabar.
• 1956: Formation of the modern state of Kerala.

What a wonderful presentation. Thank you Mr Dalrymple.

Thank you DC Books and William Dalrymple for enlightening the present Indian generation as to the greatness of the Indian Civilisation

Love you Sir ❤❤❤❤❤

Wonderful work... Thank u Sir for boldly announcing the facts based on evidence to the world... Feeling blessed...🇮🇳🌟

Thank you Mr.Dalrymple… well explained 🎉

Kerala was the first martial art birthplace 'Kalari payattu'. Kerala hosted Arabs for spice trade even before birth of Islamism. Kerala was the first state to have Islam and Mosque. Kerala was the first Indian state to get baptized to Christianity by Jesus's direct disciple St.Thomas. Kerala was a majority Buddhist state, but Hinduism overpowers it. Kerala was the first victims of Portuguese invasion. Kerala is the only state in India having communism as ruling party or major opposition party. Truly unity in Diversity. Thanks to social reformers like Sree Narayana Guru.

An amazing narration of History… have goose bumps hearing about such rich heritage and tradition that we inherit! Thanks a lot to DC books for publishing this 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The root is human: every culture wants to be seen as central and superior. In 2026 and beyond, this debate will grow louder. Countries that control the narrative control soft power and influence. India has a genuine story of peaceful spread of ideas through trade and learning. Those who understand and teach this history will strengthen national confidence and global standing. Those who ignore it will keep repeating someone else’s version of the past.

I must congratulate Mr.Dalrymple to present the ancient glory and the contribution of Indian scholars to the world with so much of enthusiasm and clarity. Westerners have brutally undermined this and  always described India as backward and poor. India is and was a very progressive and vibrant civilization.

Excellent Mr William. Thank you. ❤
