My Italian friend told me something early on when I was learning Italian, and it helped a lot:  In Italian, there are no silent vowels.  You pronounce the U in buongiorno and the E in grazie.

A lot of English speakers say "grazi", instead of "Grazie". Speaking of which, thanks very much for all your videos!

Italian people are the best. I'm asian and Italy it's one of my best experience travelling in Europe. The locals, once you leave the tourist area and wonder into a small town are kind, helpful and friendly. And I'm so glad I took the time to properly pronounce grazie before visiting. I think everyone should learn the correct pronouncion of some common words as a sign of respect before visiting any country.

Meanwhile the French wouldn't even humor me unless my pronunciation is perfect, complete opposite of my experience in Italy lol

I find your instructional videos presented in Italian with subtitles helpful, however these types of beginner videos presented in English are appreciated as an American beginner. Thanks so much for the time and talent in presenting these videos!

Perfect summary for my all mistakes 😂

I'm so so glad I discovered your channel!  I'm planning a move away from the UK and  Italy is high on my list as I have lots of Italian friends. Can't wait to study with you!

I absolutely love this channel. I have just discovered it and it's fun, informative and precise. I sincerely wish you well and thank you. Grazie.

Loving your channel. I'm embarrassed being Italian that I don't pronounce words correctly, glad I found your channel.

The best teachers, the best videos, thank you! as a native Portuguese speaker I find it very easy for me to understand and pronounce Italian; now, forming phrases, speaking... that's a whole different challenge!

I just adore the way she speaks english ❤

Siete entrambi i migliori insegnanti di sempre!

You are such as great instructor and seem like a lovely person! I'm currently studying italian and this is very helpful.

Love this learning process but feel sorry for Matteo. He always seems so hard done by.

Thank you for these videos.  I hope you all enjoy making them as much as they are enjoyed.   Also thank you for responding, helps us (me at least) feel not so alone as I study Italian.    I'm tenacious, but the encouragement helps and makes a stronger connection with continued  and renewed commitment.  I don't feel quite so alone at such times.  Thank you.

Another excellent video. I love listening to and speaking Italian when I’m over there and do appreciate the relaxed attitude Italians have to foreigners making mistakes (unlike the French!) but one thing puzzles me still, you touched on it. Apart from just listening and remembering word intonation, is there a rule for when the stress of the word is NOT on the penultimate syllable?

"Bongiorno" sounds very tuscan though ^^

I'm glad I found you. As an Italian beginner you're videos have been really helpful

And adjacent one to caldo/freddo tthat I think is a common mistake.  When describing something as cold, like a drink, they should use fresco vs freddo.  Freddo is too much.

It might be a good video idea to talk about things that have direct translations, but are the wrong word anyway.  Like, and English speaker might want to say that food is delicious, so they say delizioso, but should say buono.

Thank you for your super videos!

Grazie ! Sono grato.  molto utile  !
