📌 INGREDIENTS:

For the chicken
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Option 1 — Classic brine
​​1 liter of cold water
4 tablespoons of salt
2 tablespoons of sugar

Option 2 — Buttermilk brine
​​500 ml of buttermilk or
500 ml of milk
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of salt
Spices to taste

For the breading
2 cups of all-purpose flour
½ cup of cornstarch
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste

For breading
1 beaten egg — only if using Classic water brine
For frying
Canola oil or sunflower oil, enough for deep frying

Note: If you use buttermilk brine, the brine liquid itself can be used to help the flour adhere to the chicken.
