Okay it was actually the Argentine translator who found him....SHE did the leg work. The American news crew did not know he existed until SHE discovered it. Credit where credit is due.

This documentary showed how investigative journalism used to work, how it would make people and governments accountable for their actions, and the reasons for their actions. Nowadays the news media is very much under the control of the governments of nearly all countries, including New Zealand. I never thought I would see this happen in my lifetime! What a shocking and terrible tragedy!

So some people think that if a mass murderer manages to hide for many years before he's captured, he should be allowed to get away with his crimes. Seriously? Would you feel that way if your parents, spouse, children, siblings, and other relatives were among his victims?

Sentenced to life in an apartment in the centre of Rome provided by the Italian government. Lived to be 100-years-old thank to the wonderful free medical care he received. Better than most people's retirement.

It makes my blood boil after watching these videos. People put so much effort and time in catching those criminals and yet they get away with murder over and over again.
What’s age got to do with their sentencing? These criminals did not spare the lives of the old, sick, weak, pregnant women, children, youth and so on.
During their trial, they show no remorse or say sorry to victim’s family members nor feeling guilty about it. All they say “we were obeying orders”.
They knew what they did was wrong but they never admitted their guilt.

Dalila Herbst is the real hero. She did the footwork, she found books and did the research, she arranged a meeting with him, she met and spent time with him all on her own. Talk about brave. Dalila is the hero of this story.

As an italian I can say that him living in an apartment in Rome (I cant afford that) him being free to do errands and eat at restaurants and enjoying having his supporter friends there and me paying for it from my taxes kind of leaves a bitter after taste in my mouth, dead now but still...

Is anyone going to talk about how brave this woman ( Dalila Herbst ) is? Wow!! She should be hailed as a hero, looked at all the work she did, also talking to that murderer, and keeping her emotions in check, my hats off to you miss Dalila, god bless and keep you

A few years ago I met a man who served in WWII - he helped carry starving Jews out of a death camp. He said "a lot of them didn't make it" and tears rolled down his cheeks. It was a beautiful experience to meet him. We all cried.

Monsters living among us acting like normal people, eating delicious food, enjoying their wine, casually telling their story - if they were not guilty they should have not fled. Disgusting just to be in their vicinity sharing air with them. May God give justice to those perished, and punishment to the demons who escaped justice.

Sam Donaldson did good work on REPORTING BUT the credit should first be given to the Argentina Lady who did the hardest work in finding him and being able to confront at least one left and to face him in the diner I'm sure she still was in great fear. It took a lot of strength and determination on her part to be able to get Justice . Thank you Dear Lady from Argentina.

The fear she expressed in her time when speaking about having to meet him for coffee is chilling. Amazed by her strength at confronting such an ugly man and successfully hiding her anger, I don't know if I could do the same.

My father escaped 3 times from German POW camp...

He rode over the Alps on a bicycle, heading for Italy...

Lovely Italian family in Padua hid him from the Germans...

He always spoke about this family... Penyetta was the daughter's name... Am sure a step brother/sister is there...

He would get very maudlin when speaking about them...

War is mans inhumanity against his fellow man, woman and child...
