Pricing has driven me away from all fast food. I rarely eat anywhere I used to. So I guess all their marketing and trickery can’t replace value. At least for me.

“Dark Nudging” sounds like a new Forbidden Jutsu that Rondald McDonald learned in order to be the Fast Food Hokage.

The friction thing is so true, when I open twitch, if I get an ad before I can watch a single second of streaming I automatically close the tab 95% of the time

My drive through activities have decreased by 98% because my driver side window no work. I refuse to get a new motor and replace it.

I just don’t understand is anyone shocked by this revelation? EVERY BUSINESS in essentially EVERY FIELD uses psychology to entice customers. It’s built into the act and practice of sales/ services in and of itself. “Want thing? Don’t like when eg. happens to you? Seeking convenient and effortless results? Buy our shit!”

I love how as soon as she finishes the explination to what a dark nudge is, asmon says 'let me give you an an example' and the video is interupted by a pokemon go advert that is one of the ways youtube practically harrasses its viewers into buying a premium subscription

"Dual wield drive-thru" made me laugh harder than expected lmao

AsmonGold: You know what the biggest risk factor is for suicide? A lack of wanting to stay alive.

Asmon criticizing demonic marketing techniques and then immediately saying "should i go get one of these?" when the trick or treat mcflurry comes up 💀

“Americans have a self control problem”… hit the nail right on the head man.

The prices will drive people away faster than anything else. Fast food used to be cheap and easy. Now its expensive and easy. Im not going to go to mcdonalds and pay 20 bucks for a shitty burger and some fries. I will just make it at home.

He hit the nail on the head about people and her video how people tend to blame others for their lack of self accountability. Everyone has free will. Learn discipline and you wouldn’t find yourself in this loophole of fast food meals

"They trick you"

No, they're advertising to you because you're THERE, which means they already succeeded.

Some things you are not considering:

1. In a lot of other countries, there is still a lot of walking.
2. There are ingredients in US food (including food available from drive-thrus) that are illegal in other countries.

Video: “Get back to whatever it is you were doing”
Asmond: “texting and driving”
That literally made me laugh out loud

The only thing drive throughs prompt my broke ass to do is run up between cars on foot to get the change on the concrete.

I have a privacy filter on my laptop that does that thing where you cant see the screen unless you are looking right at it.  There is no anti-glare reason for it, as anti-glare filters are generally polarized the other direction, vertically, instead of privacy filters, which are polarized horizontally.  This is definitely being done so you cant read the menu until you are right in front of it.

in australia, drive thru gets priority over walk ins. if you want ''fast'' food, go to the drive thru or wait 20min for same order inside

I love how this video starts with asmongold saying people have no impulse control and then around like 22 minutes in he’s talking about going out to get the new McFlurry shown in the video 😂

The few times I buy fast food, a couple times a year, it’s something I plan out for a specific thing. After doing this for a while, those dark nudges don’t occur anymore.
