While it wasn't planned, I reached for several fall-like fragrances this past week; the week of August 17, 2026. As we near the end of August I feel ready to reach for my richer, darker scent profiles. This past week was a week filled with warmer scent profiles, as I find myself moving away from the idea of wearing the fresher perfumes in my collection.

You just reminded me I have that small bottle of Les Bras des Morphée and I love that perfume! I don't find it sweet at all and to me, very iris forward. When I got it I wore a good 1/4 of it and thought I would have to get a bottle but the price is a bit high. It turned cool in the Seattle area literally overnight so I also started wearing more Fall like perfumes. It was a beautiful summer here minus the smoky weeks from fires. Fall is early and I am not really ready for it, though Fall is a favorite season. The rains are here. oxJulia

Oh, I agree, Tyger Tyger is really hard for me to take! It's extremely assertive and rough around the edges imho. Musc des Sables is one of my favorites by Les Indemodables, I think the iris in there works so wonderfully; to me it wears like a cashmere throw. Second to that I would say Oriental Velours because it smells like arcane luxury to me; Chypre Azural and Rose de Jamal are my other favorites. By contrast I found Iris Perle to be really wan and indistinct... you have great taste!

Ha! 106F here! We have our hottest temperatures the next month, central coast California. I’m trying to figure out how to keep my collection earthquake safe. Laying them all on the guest bed I suppose. 😂😂😂

Hello Ella, you are very lucky to start feeling autumn in the air. Here in South Florida we are still baking in high 80’s and even 90’s. 😂. I got 3 small bottles from The Hellenist some time ago. Great size! Aside from Les Bras, they offer some excellent fresh, woody and aromatic fragrances that in my opinion could even be better than Les Bras? I don’t know. Maybe 😁. Have a wonderful fragrance week.

I’m with you in regards to Francesca Bianchi. I haven’t tried all of her fragrances, but I’ve tried most of them. Her DNA - which I describe as an ocean made of butter - literally makes me feel sick (said DNA is all over Sex And The Sea, so beware). The only one I’ve smelled that doesn’t overwhelm my nose with her DNA is Libertine Neroli. It’s the perfect cold weather neroli scent. I love it and own a full bottle.

It rained a bit overnight, sounds like the perfect day for Bras Les Morphee. I was going to buy the 15 ml, but decided to do the 100 ml. I don't have a huge collection and I recently got on Mercari and am letting go of the fragrances I'm not wearing. Would like to get my bottles down to about 50-60.

What a coincidence, I’ve also been in a fall mood lately. I wore Meo Fusciuni’s Sogni today and just ordered 8 very autumnal samples from Scent Split. I’m just ready for the season to change!

Musc de sable is an absolute favorite along with all the other fragrances you mentioned from Les Indemodables. So unique! The one I found closest to the myrrh fragrance and Musc de Sable is Tolu parfum by Ormonde Jayne. It’s like getting a skin treatment in silky golden gooey oils.

That's so strange, I feel that for me is the other way around :tyger tyger is the more wereable version of slowdive ( which I find too animalic for me )

I love Cologne pour la Soir in the summer and Absolue in the winter. Such a good scent.

Trudon is a house that I have also been into lately. Absolu is one that I am trying to track down, but it is a little difficult for me to get here in Japan. Appreciate the insight on this one. Cheers!

What? I feel like we have a fair amount of alignment in our collections - except Francesca Bianchi (I might have all but two of them). Interesting comparison between Tyger Tyger and Slowdive - I'll have to compare them. Another great video. - thank you!!

Amazing rotation, thank you for sharing. I absolutely love Musc de Sables and Material… I need to get my nose in Slow Dive as I am obsessed with honey and this comes across as a beautiful pure honey with twists and turns. You mentioned Roja Diaghilev.. chypre is a huge favourite for me .. what are your thoughts on it?
