I had this surgery 21 years ago. I’m 5 feet tall. I used to weigh 220 lbs, now I weigh 102. It’s been a blessing for me for sure. I got rid of my high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sugar addiction, etc. But, you must stay with your supplements. A good multi vitamin and a good high potency B complex vitamin every day without fail. Keep your protein up. Stay low carb.

I'm 20 years out and can eat most of what I want. Although I do eat 5 times a day and have a metabolic before bed consisting of a protein, fruit and dairy. I still weigh and measure and follow a modified IBS food plan at times. I have no more than 1 T of fat daily. I don't eat wheat or flour. I follow Kay Sheppard's food plan. Ive lost 150 pounds and have kept it off. From a size dress 28 to a 14. Changed and saved my life ❤ I'm 75 now and would have been dead by now if hadn't had this surgery.

I had my heart set on gastric sleeve. But knowing that I have been on Gerd medication’s for 20 years, I haven’t even been scoped yet, but I’m kind of hoping that after the scope, my doctor tells me that the sleeve would not be optimal for me than that I should actually get the gastric bypass. Because when you said this was a good one for folks who have issues with carbohydrate and sweet cravings. I wanted to scream at the screen that this was me! I appreciate all the good information. I’m only through the first video. I’m looking forward to more info.

I had this surgery 14 years ago. Carnivore diet is the only way to get enough protein at my age. I was 340 when i had the surgery and im now 190. Zinc is what i have found i can't do without. I do take a good chewable multivitamin.

1:45 so I’m totally blind and I’m about to get the bypass surgery and I really really really appreciate your detailed explanations as to what I will be able to eat afterwards! 8:13 I am so sorry to comment again but whoa! I have never listened to this video and really it improves reflux? Oh my gosh, I am so looking forward to this! When I got my yucky disgusting, horrible, awful barium swallow, study done, they told me I had a lot of some type of reflux, but they call it a weird name! I hope I can still get the surgery even with this!

I had a gastric bypass done in January 2026 and had the sleeve procedure done. I was 112 kg, I am now 93.5, I have not lost any weight for the last 18 weeks I have NOT lost any more weight. The average weight has been 93.4 (92.7-93.9), why is this my goal weight is 85 kg. Can you suggest any advice to lose more weight?

I have had long term problems and questions. I can’t eat anything without feeling sick at least at some point after a meal but my vitamin levels are usually pretty good: I have massive food aversions and went nearly five years without eating meat of any kind. Generally I eat a small amount of food .. half a lunch that I packed myself and I feel really super full but I don’t stay that way and then I feel like I’ve never eaten a I feel weak and tired or what I ate disagreed with me and is making me feel sick. It’s one or the other. I had my rny august 2015 so I’m way far out and I’ve tried the fasts, the pouch resets, changing from different types of foods that I have a huge collection of food that I probably will never eat because I now have a food aversion to it my hair keeps falling out and I haven’t kept the weight off as well as I hoped I would have done so mainly because I think because my job is sedentary most of the day and I don’t get a lot of movement. Kaiser won’t offer continuing care so I feel doomed to feel like I’m circling the drain
