I never liked the mayor as a character but Andy yelling at him about Jess in the tree and the bear in the car was great.

The classic line from the Don Rickles episode: Hey I’m no longer inept. I’m ept !

The list was pretty accurate. I agree; the Cousin Virgil episode should have made the list. I think it should have been in the top three. Have a great weekend , Bob.

I didn’t like the cousin Virgil episode either. The guy was just a little too creepy.

I think this is fairly accurate. And I agree with you about cousin verge.

I enjoyed " Guest in The House. "

I agree 100% about the cousin Virgil episode being among the worst, with the banjo playing deputy being on the very bottom. Cousin Virgil, Aunt Bea's boyfriend, and the banjo playing deputy are the three I will avoid watching when they are on.

I always thought the visit of Andy's aunt & uncle/cousins was ridiculous!

I liked "Ellie for Council".

I didn't care for the county nurse or the one where Ellie dresses up the farmers daughter.

The Jerry Van Dyke and Don Rickles episodes along with the episode in which Andy goes nuts over Opie's low grades are three of the worst, imho. Nothing very enjoyable in any of these.

Petty accurate list, it is worth noticing none of these episodes PROMINENTLY featured Don Knotts.

I think it says something that the “lowest rated black & white episodes” still mostly have really good ratings. In fact some of these like “Andy and the New Mayor” and “Ellie for Council” are among my personal favorites

I really disliked the Virgil episode. He always had a smirk on his face. Not enjoyable at all.

Agree about the "Cousin Virgil" episode. Cousin Virgil struck me as someone that ought to have a court order preventing him from being around children!
