There's a huge amount of know how and experience gone into making this.  I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the last near hour after a long day and I've learned a lot too.  Noone else seems to be really doing much more than basic and non intrusive tuning to ex factory of cars these days.  Well done Rob and thank you so much for sharing.

I am blown away every time I watch one of your video's. Thanks!

Utterly brilliant video. Thank you. It's true small scale craftsmanship.

Another top class build Rob .What you do to these cars makes me embarrassed to even imagine i could tune a slot car car .It's way beyond anything I could do .Thank you for sharing your magic with us 🤗

Fantastic Rob, enjoy watching you take a standard car and turn it into something you can race. 🏁 👍

Can’t wIt to see how this turns out, it’s going to be a Beast

Rob I’ve just put you up on a pedestal as a Slot Car Superhero. Incredible workmanship on this build. All that and I got to see the lathe in action again 🤩
Great video, totally enjoyed watching 👍

Wow another episode with me catching flies😮 the interior definitely interested in a set👌 what a transformation Rob

Rob the magician at it again!!! Awesome work sir. I doff my cap to you 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This is my kind of geeking out, I love it, thank you for sharing such an awesomely informative video.  I've done a lot of these practices except for the vacuum formed interior.

That’s a nice build Rob 🎉

Hi Bob a brilliant transformation of a ford rally car

Fantastic video Rob! Cant wait to try it out on My lovely track that You made for Me! still rather busy with modeling and scenery but slowly getting there!
For anyone else watching Rob has been My inspiration for having a go at upgrading My Old but much loved shelf cars and I feel this is definately the way forward for Me! Once You have watched Robs videos, In My case Many Many times!, You soon get the confidence in having a go Yourself. Its very satisfying to bring New life into an old car .
Why pay upwards of £70 for a new performance slot car when You can have the satisfaction of creating Your Own!
Anyways Rob, Thank You Very Very Much.
Stuart

Great video Rob. Love how you get the old cars running well. Two tips that may be of use to you. A number of guys in out club grind down old files to a curve with an edge too scrape the weight out of roofs Makes short work of a tedious job. Also we mark everywhere we are scraping/grinding with black texta. Easy way to track wear you have been with the tools. Thanks again for a great video.

Great Video Rob ..thank you for sharing👏👏👍🏁

Another job well done Rob!!!! "The Master Tinkerer" of slot cars.........Lol😀

Brilliant!!

I’m not a slot racer but that was a fantastic video. The layout you have is amazing. I’m off to search for the video about how to build those.

Another enjoyable car mod vid...funnily enough I have an Escort Cossie under the desk for upgrading.
Like you, I totally dislike air rims, not just for Rally but any racing, I fill the void with old foam tyres trued down to just above the height of the ribs...or another option is file the ribs down on a lathe (or drill) then 3D print a centre rib.
...I always enjoy the music...heavy Bass toonz is a fave 🎸

Rob would you consider making what I consider one of the best looking Ford Escort Mk2’s?
It the Barry Lee 351 (Hot Rod) 1980 season Mk2 RS2000. He fitted it with rubber side skirts to create downdraft if it worked is debatable but with it’s Total Oils livery it really did look awesome. Keep posting your wonderfully informative videos. You really are a world class modeller who sets a standard on YouTube that only very few can emulate.
