Johnny dropping the knowledge as always. Much appreciated. Great videos!

Another great video Johnny, thanks. Killer that you share the costs with everybody. Much appreciated!

Great video Johnny. Again, it would have been nice to see the conversion.

I did that same conversion with an Escape.  (52V, BBS02) It was very fast but felt a bit shaky with the thin tires.  So I took the kit off and put it on a Giant fixed tail mountain box.

I just plain love that bike! A flat bar road bike. It is practical for everyday commuting and efficient enough to get away on the weekend. I have one in my shop being converted right now (same size and color too). The guy is converting it for exactly the same reasons. I believe it is the ultimate e-bike for most applicatiins.

Nice! 30 years ago I'd rock a bike like that for hundred mile trips. The bike is flawless, it's me that got old;(

I just bought a similar setup, thanks for your videos their really informative 👍

Thanks Johnny ☺️ I learn so much from your Awesome Channel!

Thanks man. Youve really helped me with my research 😊 appreciate it..

Lol, I was thinking to put a BBS02 500 watts on my friend's bike. It's a Louis Garneau hybrid bike, very light at ~15 lbs, 700c x 32c thin tires and it's already a blast to ride on flat roads. I hit like 40 km/h with it the last summer. So I dont doubt it would go over 50 kmh (30 MPH) easily. This mid drive kit installed on a hybrid bike is like to put a Corvette's V8 in a Honda Civic. 😂

Hi Johnny, Thank you for the information.  I am just now learning about the e-bike conversations and I'm interested and excited.  It's a bit late in the season for biking here in Minnesota but I'm thinking of building a setup exactly like this one in the video.  I have two bikes to choose from,  Bianchi and Specialized.  Both are older street/trail bikes with rim brakes.  Thinking of it as a Christmas gift and winter project.

Hey Johnny - you should weigh these things as part of your JohnnyNerdOut test - I think that is another spec people would be very interested in could vary by bike, motor, and battery selection. What you think?

4:48. Its like putting 410 gears on the car.

Such an awesome channel!!!!!!!😆

More please!!👍✅

"Sweet, lets do this."

Have the same bike, would like to do the same setup.

Thank you for this. Very close to what I want to eventually build. But I'm gonna use either my Giant Crosscity 0 or a Giant MTB.
I've been wondering if the BBSHD would be a better choice for longer range, I'm a bit of a heavy bloke, and commuting with heavy work bag means more power might be required.

giant hole for a 2kwh battery... thats how they should market it, or for 7 ft tall people that want to carry 8 water bottles.   your top speed is decent considering thats usually what they say you will get from a 1500w hub like I've got on my first ever ebike.

How about a sleath commuter bike  with a mid motor, belt drive, inconsipuous battery pack.
