I'm over a stinky petrol, carbon monoxide and oil changes. I will buy an electric vehicle to get away from all that. Now for the form factor ..... Use the older VW Golf GTi MK5 hot hatch as a starting point. The vehicle would need that hot hatch look. Not a cockroach SUV form factor. Too many ugly SUV's on the market ... they all look the same. I don't like door panels that are bent inwards .... they make the car look like it has been in an accident. Avoid overdone muscle curves on the wheel arches like on a Mazda (pretentious hot when I'm not). The EV would have two motors, the front motor ( or rear motor ?) could be automatically disengaged to save on power consumption. Performance .... sub 4 second 0 -100 KM/hr acceleration would be a good selling point to sway the GTi petrol head faithful. A solid state battery for 2027 for a range of about 1000 KM. The Interior .... plenty of well placed buttons for all the frequently used stuff. LCD screen would be mainly for display of data and get minimum use. Lastly ... the ability to turn off all those stupid features like lane assist with a set and forget capability. Let the driver choose what they need turned on. Nothing worse than fighting an AI gremlin in the steering wheel that thinks you are an idiot.
