I have had someone mention in a facebook group that the pools are not heated at the Katerina Palace! You could have fooled me - if that is the case they are the warmest pools I've ever encountered. It was like sitting in a bath! If this is the case then the Canary island hotels could learn a lot about pool construction from this hotel!

Liked it there and we would both be very happy there. I love a nice pool and that one would do me, with Mrs Metalman sunbathing as she cannot swim. Room looked fine but I hate having to pay for air con but when we go early May, it is not a massive issue to be honest. Looked nice around the hotel too, so yes we would be be very happy there, cheers Alan

Hello Andy. I do love a hotel review and find them very helpful when looking for accommodation. Looks like a lovely hotel. I have come across having to pay extra for air conditioning. Hi Andy, Looks a lovely Hotel from outside. Lovely pool areas. Nice room, never heard of having to pay for air conditioning before is it a new thing? The bathroom was a descent size. A nice view up towards the hills. Great review, take care Julie and Tony x

Mum and dad stayed there years ago SC near the upper pool.Nice central spot and we have used the pool snack bar open to non residents.

Lovely looking building. Very handy how it’s situated so close to the bars and shops.nice that it’s wheelchair friendly too, handy lift. Everything looks very clean. 3 pools and people are on them so early! Germans I reckon. Not far from the strip. Key card entry, only one card but like you say with two you could run the AC all day. Firm beds check. €70 is a little steep for the AC. Not much wardrobe space. Yes a toaster, I’m always happy if a toaster is included. If you did any cooking in there you would need the AC on. Bathroom looks nice and clean. Interesting swim wear hangers! Ah yes bins for your toilet paper, been a while since I’ve been to Greece. The balcony is nice. Great honest review 👍

That looks like the normal standard of apartments in Corfu, but the room reminds me of the standard we had on our first trip there in 2009. The glass doors on the shower are a plus (we've only had that at one accomodation in Corfu and yes, the outside bathroom floor still got wet). The star systems for apartments and for hotels are different, and mainly aspirational at best in Greece. Good review. Keith

Now that looks very classy - Andy our Zakythos experience was in a holiday let. We don't as a rule stay in large facilities like this so it is interesting to see what's on offer. This complex looks very very comfortable and organised. There is something for everyone. In fact one could stay here and not venture out- being a totally relaxed getaway for the week. The room has all you need ( for me though too small and limited space as I'm awake frequently at night I'd have nowhere to sit). That doesn't make the room not adequate - it just wouldn't suit me. A toaster, kettle and somewhere to make a snack does make me happy. I'd forgotten about the toilet paper- yes, that was a new one on me back then 🤪. Handy shower hooks for wet gear. Indeed it would be too hot at times on the balcony. Handy for the towels and clothes to dry them though. Gosh you've made me remember so many forgotten bits about our time here- that's been awesome. Thanks for sharing your time and experiences on Zakythos. A good review which would certainly help many make a choice. 😎🇳🇱🙋‍♀🥝🚗
