You’ve Never Seen a Truck Camper Like This Before

Wicked Alaska

I just picked up a new camper — and it’s not your average setup.
This is the Yukon by Cache Campers out of Palmer, Alaska. It’s a custom-built canopy-style camper designed to fit half-ton trucks and weighs only about 800 pounds. Unlike a slide-in, it sits right over the bed rails, keeping things lightweight and simple.

In this video, I walk through the camper, show how it’s built, and go over the features that make it unique — from the layout to the storage, sleeping setup, and overall design. It’s the perfect fit for our kind of adventures.

If you are interested in learning more about this camper, reach out to Info@CacheCamper.com or check out their website here: https://cachecamper.com/

This was a classic example of what would’ve been an otherwise mundane review of a product I don’t need (or would use), but was made interesting because of what a genuine human being this man is. A really good dude, who just happened to be reviewing a camper. I grew up in a country that was full of people like that. It’s good to see it again. He’s obviously (at least) 2nd, &/or 3rd, generation “good people”.

Everything about this review is perfect. Laid back guy, talking about something he’s passionate about.
It’s like when your neighbor gets a new toy and he invites you over to show you and talk about it.

I spent 9 months traveling around the US sleeping inside a shell covering the back of my small Chevy pickup. Adventures everyday to last a lifetime. The one thing I really wasn't prepared for was how cold it got while parked out in the desert at night. That the stars looked like a bucket of jewels made up for it.

This is the type of guy I would like to have for a campsite neighbor: friendly, intelligent & so chill. Great review, I didn't know about these.

I’m old school, I really like the manual awning, all those luxury features are just problems waiting to show themselves. Great job on the tour, never seen this version of truck camper.

This is the first time I was truly engaged in a video that someone is showing and explaining a camper. His spirit seems so peaceful and I truly appreciate you sharing with us.

Best camper demonstration I have seen, even dealers aren’t this thorough. Nice set up. Enjoy!

I have no idea what the hype things do now but you get them all. I appreciate that I found your channel. It’s so nice to see a person who just talks to the camera like a friend would; simple, calm, no glamour.

He likes his new camper! No, seriously dude, you did good. I felt like I was standing right there with you the whole time. Excellent!

Same problem: most campers are too heavy for a half ton so clicked on your video. I never knew a canopy like this existed, so thanks for posting as this might be a good solution for us.

Wow! You are one of the best speakers I’ve heard in a long time. That company should hire you to represent them and sell their products. I may be wrong, and Ive never watched your videos before, but are you current or retired military? Something about your way of speaking and demeanor remind me of many of my family members. Great video! Thank you!

This is the most down to earth informative review video I've ever seen. So refreshing to not have everything hyped as "The best", it's just what you have and you like it. Fantastic video.

I don't know if you just did a lot of editing, naturally speak well, or have trained yourself out of it for videos... but you have the absolute best speaking style with the lack of constant "and, uhm, uhhh" that most people have. Super enjoyable video. I wish you could do lots of reviews of other campers and easy-up shelters / tents or other gear. You'd be the best at it. No bologna, just "This is what it is and this is what it does...". I don't have a truck to use a camper like this on, and I wanted to watch the whole thing! Really great video :)

Thank you for such a detailed description of how your new truck camper works. Really cool.

It's about time they made something that works for a Tundra!

I contacted Cache Campers when I saw this video last night.
Im disabled, and the levels of customization they can do i really think you led me to a team who can make a disabled person camper. I cant wait to talk to them about it.
Thank you Sir
