"Ahh, dear little Ocelotte...Where have you gone? Are you hiding from me? Come out, come out, don't be afraid. You were born a child of dragons, what could you possibly fear?"

@Cipher-w7p 1 year ago

guys do not look up oceiros and baby ocelotte crying cut voicelines on youtube

@gamalmedhat4731 1 year ago

the child does exist, but fromsoft decided to remove its body, because Oceiros was gonna smash its body to ground when entering the 2nd phase, which wans't goning to pass smoothly for a lot of people

Rare Halflight reaction in the entirety of Youtube.

Yes yuka kitamura composed rbrietas too, and I’m glad you also noticed the similarities in the second phase!

God I love Dragonslayer Armour, just haunting asf but in a knightly and proud way

Ocerios just isn't the same without the baby and the dialogue

My Oceiros head-canon is that the pleading female voice which is a constant refrain in the middle of the chaotic strings and male vocals represents his wife pleading with him to regain his sanity. You can barely hear her in the second phase after he completely loses it.

Ocelotte does exist. But because of the phase transition when the king completely loses his sanity, FromSoftware decided to make Ocelotte invisible. Ocelotte was not originally invisible.

When you move onto NightReign bosses you should be warned that all of the tracks are decently long, averaging 6 or more minutes. But they’re all really good and unique tracks 🙏

3:15 the male singer is there to give the boss a sense of power, the female is there to intensify the situation, she is an elevation but don't forget Armour Knight isn't actually fighting alone against you, there are flying beings around the arena spraying you with acid or something so maybe she is also depicting the angelic yet hellish beings protecting Armour Knight.

A good way to describe halflight would be to call him the last bastion of gwyn’s deception. Gwyn feared humanity above all else, for they were born of the dark, and thrive off of it. He feared their inherent immortality, and the fact that they would replace him when his age of fire inevitably ended. So gwyn sealed the dark soul within humanity, and linked their lives to the first flame. As for humanity’s oldest ancestors, the pygmies, gwyn gave them a city and his oldest daughter. Not for any true alliance or friendship, but to keep them locked away. He put his daughter in a deep sleep, which sealed the Pygmies outside of time, so that they would never truly grow or be free. Halflight is filianore’s (gwyn’s daughter) last guardsman. He helped perpetuate the gods’ and their church’s lie in an attempt to prolong their decrepit era. He is fighting us to keep us from waking filianore, and uncovering gwyn’s deception. Of course, the world is in shambles, and there may be no going back. But it is still better to bring the lies of the gods to light, be it for whatever small victory it counts for when the world has been reduced to a husk of itself.

HALFLIGHT FINALLY, best ds3 ost easy sweep, been waiting for this one

@theoldwitchsoul9929 2 months ago

I think we here a solo female voice because the Queen of Lothric, that fled the land, mourns him for what he's become and had to leave him behind to his literal madness. He was basically cursed and possessed by the ghost or haunting residual energy of the most evil character in the series, Seethe the Scaleless who is long passed, but his influence still permeates through the forbidden knowledge he left behind.

@LearnTrainPlay 1 year ago

Ocelotte was in it but they had to remove it because of what happens at the start of phase 2

Edit: I think there are spoilers in this comment, having watched farther into the video. ;) Like the other comment really appreciate a Halflight reaction. That was one of my absolute favorite things to do in the game. Join the Covenant and BE the boss. I listened to this track soooo many times and had MANY adrenaline rushes associated with it due to the Host being able to have up to 2 phantoms and they all fight me at once... but I am not so easy to take down. ;) Great fun! You have to imagine: The Host and Phantoms hear the transition at 16:15 as I am spawning into their world, and they are witnessing not an NPC to fight coming in, but a human, will full faculty, gear, playstyle, and intent to kill. I took down over 50 Hosts (and their phantoms) over my time doing it, and every single fight was a BLAST. Some of the best times in the whole game. Thanks for this! Edit 2: I wanted to add this! When I spawn in 16:15 is also the music I hear for the whole fight, so really, this feels like MY theme if that makes sense... I am, or at least was, Halflight. Okay... I need to play again now. Thanks for inspiring me. <3
