Very nice Darrell! Something to consider would be adding a shelf with a gimbal for your camera. I did that for my hide/blind. My Mom is a seamstress and created fabric 'cone' shaped pieces which I stapled to the inside. I then uncurl the fabric over the lens plus there's a cinch cord at the end to tighten it around the end of my lens. It works slick for covering any movement. I have a thin window above with camo netting to see through. I hope to create a video showing the blind and putting a visual to my description.

I love the idea of backyard birding for a number of reasons: 1. there's usually a pile of critters around to photograph
2. less travel
3. if you only have a few hours or less in a busy day, at least you can get some photography done
4. NO people to bother the critters or us :)

If youve never seen a Sparrowhawk fly through tiny openings in Hedgerow..its unbelievable.

Very enjoyable watch, Darrell. Great ideas for attracting the creatures to where you want them. Love the bird photos and the squirrel at the bottom of the stump is gorgeous, too!
Regarding your resident mole, one of my cats goes hunting (unfortunately) and has come back on a couple of occasions with a live mole which he let go - and it then buried into the grass. Luckily we have a rough and ready garden, not a decent lawn in sight, so I was quite thrilled to see the molehills and tracks of where the mole tunnelled just below the surface! Good for soil aeration?!

You get great sharpness from using relatively slow shutter speeds in many of your photos.

Love the garden bird videos, you could look into Clear View netting as an alternative to mirror glass, you can see out but not in providing what's being viewed into is dark.

Trying to figure your accent, Cumbrian here, are you North East or North West? Trying to make some set ups in my garden, but I am in an arid area. I have to work on concealing a white fence. Have you thought of replacing the window mesh with a black mesh? It may make you less visible.
