Wanna know how to use off-camera lighting? & photograph frogs? I decided to create another frog video showing more in detail on how I create my frog photographs. It's also very similar in how I create most of my off-camera lighting animal portraits that can be found on my website (see below)

Really enjoyed both your frog videos. I love photographing frogs calling like that and you inspired some new ideas for me. But I also was terrified seeing your camera in your lap like that with no strap!!!
Just for the record your Green Treefrogs" are actually Squirrel Treefrogs and your Gray Treefrogs are Cope's Gray Treefrogs (a different species than the Gray Treefrog).

I never even considered photography frogs/etc at night. Did not think it was possible. Now I know. And I have a good idea about how to do that. I like th penlight in the soft box, great idea. Thanks for sharing.

Very well put together video Neil with some useful tips - two questions though. Firstly, I guess you were aiming and firing and not using 'live view', I wasn't sure? And, secondly, were you on back-button focusing, it looked like it?
