In my first non-music, non-stream video in almost 2 years, I decided to rank every single Mario Kart track theme. It is over 2 hours long. I have opinions.

Alternate title: Yoshi gets hit by a red shell on every Mario Kart track

59:06 - The phrase 'Wario Friends' as a parallel to 'Mario Bros.', combined with how unsure you sounded when saying that was way funnier than it should've been
@RabbidTheNabbit 2 years ago (edited)
Great video, i love how you actually go in depth with all the different parts of the songs and how they compliment eachother and the track itself, rather than just going "yeah this one is a banger" or "this one is boring", and I love the editing on this as well.
Now you gotta rank all the menu songs lol

Considering your main thing is making remixes and not at all this, I was so pleasantly surprised how good this is. You balance genuine analysis (you’ve clearly studied these tracks in-depth and know what you’re talking about, they’re not just surface-level observations!!!) with subjective opinion and just the right amount of really charming humor so, so well. This is what I wish all list videos were like, the time flew by.

dude this video is awesome. i love when people are wrong for 2 full hours but it’s justified so well that i can never disagree.
plus that france joke was way funnier than it should’ve been

Finally a Nintendo YouTuber talks about music with knowledge of music theory. Ik that ur channel is mostly if not all about music but it’s nice to finally get a ranking from someone with a wider knowledge of music

I'm loving the editing per placement. It adds this sort of rhythm to everything.

the remix of snes bowser’s castle is super underrated, it improves upon what was originally just a straight remix and gives it so much more energy and intensity, fitting the equally intense track

putting DS yoshi falls 15 places ahead of DS bowser castle is unhinged

Daisy Hills is really underrated. One of my favorite Mariokart courses ever. This track was the first one I played that really showed how cool the glider mechanic was, and 11 year old me loved it from first sight. Also, some of these courses I am legitimately traumatized by, namely Piranha Plant Slide, Shy Guy Mountain, Thwomp Ruins, Bone Dry Dunes, and some others. Why you ask? 200cc. That is all.
