I appreciate your persistence. That bottom pin was ridiculous and yet so gratifying when it finally popped. As an engineer that has helped to design, build, and test all sorts of funky custom machinery, I really like seeing the variety of problems you've been handling. Keep up the good work and thanks for your efforts.

That 20T Integrated Pin Press welded in place makes me think that's also how the Weld-On Line Borers were invented!

1 - Let me tell you, you are putting out the best content in your sort of genre, on youtube.
Really excellent editing, your voice is radio dj perfect, your knowledge is astounding,
your subjects are interesting and rich and lastly you are broadcasting this feeling of enormous competence
so the viewer can just sit back and enjoy. Keep it up and guaranteed your subscriber list will pop over a million
sooner than later. Great work, keep it up.
2- your a friggin' animal. Total respect to you for going after that stuck king pin.

King pins will rust if you use the wrong type of grease. High-melting point grease as used in bearings often has a lithium base, which is hygroscopic. No problem when it runs hot most of the time but if you use that grease for a king pin it will suck up water like a sponge! In the past I have used stern tube oil (for ships' propeller bearings) and I have used Wynns or STP "oil treatment" for old engines. Both resist rusting but need to be applied more often than grease because they are less thixotropic (more runny). Castrol CL grease is good. Castrol LM is not.

There are No Problems only Opportunities to Fix things. Makes for good content and  makes you feel good when you fix it.

Great job on the king pins. I admire your persistence getting them out. The main cylinder leak really sucks - it looks massive. BTW I really like the smell of Fluid Film too, haha.

What a testament for that motor that it could still even run with the carburetor in that shape!
