I can’t understand why the horn’s skin still needs to be scraped; that really hurts the animal. What is it even for? If you’re already cutting off the horn, why do you still need to scrape it?
The best and least painful process is to completely remove the entire horn at birth while the nerves are not well developed, almost as good as being naturally anesthetized . The animals will have a few hours of pain instead of having years of painful ingrown horn points pressing on the skin and bone.
