He's rich, travels around with the team, just chills as a 2nd 3rd QB, hes been living the life

Jimmy brought actual excitement to this franchise after some dark years. He had a good season and and a half, was a big part of this team getting to a SB, but it became clear in 2021 he wasn’t a franchise guy.

He also seemed like a good guy in the locker room.

I'll always respect the Jimmy years. We we garbage before him and he played in some memorable games for us you guys are being tough

Jimmy did a lot for the 49ers:face-blue-smiling:I thank him for that:cat-orange-whistling:49er Faithful😃49ERS FOR LIFE!!!!!!!😁"B"ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻

Football 🏈 is a violent game . He would be smart to retire . He has enough money . Why risk permanent injury ?

I really, really wanted Jimmy to have 1 start against us, before retiring. Jimmy's Legacy for us, was the "Feels Great Baby", and Overthrowing Emmanuel Sanders in the 2019 Superbowl.

He almost brought one home for us 😔

Always loved Jimmy, never understood the haters

JimmyG has made a lot of money for never really doing anything special.

Then drafted Lance.............can't take Kyle and Lynch seriously...........

York’s are very giving wealthy people they have made many multi millionaires of players and coaches over the years some we probably can’t remember but that’s best!

Hi Lowell,...Bartleby the Scrib in the great Meville short story,...." I prefer not to"...I dont really care about that but I  would love to be that rich, that handsome, with most of my whole life ahead of me but since I'm 66 and none of those things,..." I would prefer to".

Do you think Jimmy saw Cousins land a huge contract for basically being a frontline backup (non-franchise starting quarterback) and thought a retirement proposal would give him the edge on landing a similar deal? I wonder if that’s why the Rams chose Ty Simpson. 🤔

Don't be so hater, anybody would like to be in his shoes,
Good looks
Young
Healthy
And super rich.

Five years ago, I left a really good job because I was completely burned out and I just couldn't do it anymore. They offered me substantially more money to stay, but there wasn't a number that they could have offered me that would have made me stay. I just didn't have the passion for it anymore. So if Jimmy doesn't love football anymore, then I wouldn't blame him if he retired. However, I feel like backup QBs should stick around the NFL and collect as many checks as they can. They make millions of dollars per year and they usually don't have to play a lot. If Jimmy can do it, I would advise him to do so. As for me, I started my own business, it has grown over the past 5 years, I met my significant other and we got married, and I am very happy in my life. I don't regret leaving that job one bit.

Grant Cohn saying the 49ers cant eye talent when he said TREY LANCE WOULD BE BETTER THAN BROK PURDY!! He even doubled down and said they got rid of the wrong guy!! Hypocrite 100% 😂

Thanks John L. It's not Kyle, there is even a clip of Kyle saying he has nothing to do with money deals. He just coaches.

Lowell/Wallace Shawn said Niners thought jimmy was Joe Montana. No one ever thought, stop the hating. Was he great? No, but he brought consistency to the qb position the Niners didn’t have and did what he was asked and then some

Sexy jimmy need to stay with the Rams. Love it.

Jimmy G made good money in his career.  Heʻll never have to work another day the rest of his life.  He probably could continue his backup career, but is that how he wants to spend his days?  His biggest challenge will be to figure out what to do next that will give his life meaning and purpose.
