YuXiang F119S MD500E Teardown – What’s Inside? Full Mechanics & Electronics Explained
What’s actually inside the YuXiang F119S MD500E GPS RC helicopter?
In this video, I completely open up the YuXiang F119S MD500E and take a detailed look at its internal mechanics and electronics.
I show how the scale fuselage comes apart, which screws need to be removed, and where the major components are located—including the flight controller, ESC, GPS module, optical-flow/LiDAR positioning system, servos, direct-drive main motor, main shaft and tail assembly.
We also take a close look at the 5-blade rotor head, 120-degree swashplate/servo arrangement, bearings, wiring and antenna placement.
If you ever need to replace a servo, main shaft, bearing, flight controller, ESC, tail component or another internal part on your F119S, this teardown should give you a much better idea of what is involved before you start taking the helicopter apart.
Covered in this video:
• Removing and marking the five main rotor blades
• Opening the YuXiang F119S MD500E fuselage
• Identifying the correct fuselage screws
• Removing the landing skids
• Internal frame and independent tail structure
• 4306 540KV direct-drive brushless main motor
• Flight controller and ESC location
• GPS module
• Optical-flow and LiDAR/TOF positioning sensors
• 120-degree swashplate servo arrangement
• Main shaft and bearings
• Five-blade rotor head construction
• Tail motor and tail assembly
• Wiring and antenna placement
• Reassembly tips
• Correct rotor-blade tension
• Tools required for disassembly
The F119S is mechanically quite simple thanks to its direct-drive design, but there is a surprising amount of electronics and wiring packed inside the scale MD500E fuselage.
Hopefully this video helps other YuXiang F119S MD500E owners who need to inspect, maintain or repair their helicopter.

I wanted to make this video because there are plenty of videos showing the F119S flying, but not much information showing what is actually INSIDE the helicopter and how everything is put together.
If you’re having a problem with your F119S, leave a comment describing the issue. Hopefully we can build some useful repair information here for other F119S MD500E owners.
One important tip if you decide to open yours: keep track of EVERY screw and exactly where it came from! There are several different sizes.
