When I read that, something about that comment really hits. We lack awareness and sit behind a screen without thinking of the consequences of our actions, or the people we hurt.

I remember meeting yall at the tour a few months ago, and I expressed to you how I was nervous meeting yall in person. It's really different having an eye to eye conversation compared to texting behind a screen.
Despite that, even though I don't agree what Michael did, I'm glad he is taking small steps to better himself and to the community.

This is why you will always have my respect Cary, genuinely. I know this must’ve had a toll on you, and I really appreciate you for being fully transparent with your audience and the OSC as a whole. I do not want to speak for the victims or Michael himself, but all I can hope for is for this whole situation to serve as a learning experience, and I wish Michael well on his attempts of improving himself. It’s unfortunate this all had to happen, and the harsh truth is that not everyone is gonna forgive what happened, but I hope that doesn’t discourage you from still trying to better yourselves. I have autism also and I was very disappointed about how things ended up here because Michael's behavior with the sockpuppets just reminds me way too much about the things I went through when I was 10. I used to be harassed online by ableists and cringe culture assholes all the fucking time and it affected my mental health long term, under similar accounts that are labeled the exact same as "oddcard" and "Art of Clapping". I was even doxxed. It got so bad that I had to delete nearly all of my socials. But what's even worse about this situation was seeing Michael do this when he was 25/26 at the time (2022) when those accounts were made.

I hope everybody involved grows and learn from this, and I'll continue watching OSC stuff for the time being, but it's not fun knowing how unsafe it feels seeing such behavior towards kids, from EMPLOYED ADULT CREATORS THAT ARE MY AGE. This actually has been so common place for such a long time, hell that's why KiwiFarms exists, for disgusting immature assholes to project that back onto the less fortunate and oppressed and ruin their lives - but these past few years prove that it has never been a good idea to be in a social media-originated community or fandom without ridicule and harassing, doxxing, or immoral creators taking advantage of their fans.

Michael made a LOT of people feel unsafe for a long long long while, and while it is good he is taking therapy frequently, I cannot say the same for a majority of other prominent creators who did similar if not WORSE things but do nothing to change, which speaks to a larger issue.

Not your fault Cary, you didn't do anything wrong here, but I wanna throw in my two cents. I am just generally not happy with social media communities anymore and this proves it is better to keep a distance. Take care, genuinely

Hey guys. I’ve actually met Michael in July 2025, and while I do not forgive or agree with any of his posts under accounts like Oddcard or Art of Clapping, the OSC is more much than just BFDI or just him. There are leaders and creators in this community who can be good or as good as he is.

Hope you’re doing okay Cary from this whole situation. You have people who care about you and a whole community with you and you can make every hurdle. Hope you and Micheal are doing better.

we are SO glad you posted this cary, i really wanted what your thoughts were and how you felt about it, i really do hope both you and michael get better. this is one of my favorite shows ever, and i was really devastated when all of this happened, and what michael was doing. i wish michael improves more and all of the victims recover from all the harmful behavior that happened to them. it’s really hard to look at one of your closest relatives after all of this, especially being a co-founder for one of your biggest shows ever. love all, hope everyone involved gets better❤
