Love from IRAN for India, people, culture and the Great Traditional Music   😍😘🥰
Raag Ahir Bhairav and Raag Madhuwanti are best for my Yoga and Meditation practices as they are quite distinct from each other, both in structure and emotional character, though they share a contemplative quality that can be beautifully expressed on the Rudraveena. Here’s a breakdown of the differences and unique aspects of Raag Ahir Bhairav:

### Raag Ahir Bhairav
- Thaat: Bhairav
- Time of Performance: Early morning
- Arohana (ascending): S r G m P D n Ṡ
- Avarohana (descending): Ṡ n D P m G r S
- Vadi: r (Re)
- Samvadi: D (Dha)

In Ahir Bhairav, the komal (flat) Re and Ni give it a soft and meditative quality, while the shuddha (natural) Ga and Dha add a balanced depth. The phrase structure is generally smooth and flowing, embodying a calm, devotional, and introspective feel. It’s a blend of Raag Bhairav and Raag Ahiri, which gives it a unique charm suited to serene, morning reflections.

### Raag Madhuwanti
- Thaat: Todi
- Time of Performance: Late afternoon
- Arohana: N r G M P N Ṡ
- Avarohana: Ṡ n D P M G r S
- Vadi: Pa
- Samvadi: Sa

Madhuwanti has a romantic, yearning feel, often evoking feelings of longing. The Tivra (sharp) Ma is crucial, giving it a distinct flavor quite different from the devotional mood of Ahir Bhairav.

### On the Rudraveena
Both raags have a naturally meditative and introspective quality that is deeply enriched by the resonance and depth of the Rudraveena. However, Ahir Bhairav is generally more serene and devotional, while Madhuwanti conveys a sense of romantic longing. Each raga’s mood and melodic movement offer a different experience on the Rudraveena, but both are deeply introspective in their own right.

I heard  many but this Lady at above Video made my Yoga & Meditation Raag Madhuwanti is a beautiful, soulful raag, typically performed in the late afternoon, and it's quite well-suited for the Rudraveena, with its deep, resonant tones. Madhuwanti belongs to the Thaat Todi, and it has a distinct, melancholic, and romantic character, often evoking feelings of longing and devotion.

Here’s an outline of the raag to better capture its essence:

Arohana (ascending scale): N r G M P N Ṡ
Avarohana (descending scale): Ṡ n D P M G r S
Vadi (most prominent note): Pa
Samvadi (second prominent note): Sa
Pakad (signature phrase): N r G M, P N Ṡ, Ṡ n D P
In this raag, the komal (flat) notes are Re and Dha, while Ga, Ma (Tivra Ma), and Pa are shuddha (natural) notes. The raag is best known for its subtle, gliding movements between notes and the delicate use of Tivra Ma, which gives it a unique and tender quality.

For the Rudraveena, the resonant and deep tones complement the mood of Madhuwanti, bringing out the longing and romance in a meditative, majestic way. It’s a captivating experience that highlights the depth and tranquility of the instrument, especially if played in a slow, contemplative tempo.

iN ADDITION:

Raag Madhuwanti is a beautiful late afternoon raga in Hindustani classical music, known for its soft, romantic, and emotional mood. It is usually played in the early afternoon and is associated with feelings of longing and devotion. The raga belongs to the Thaat Todi but differs from other Todi ragas because of its shuddha (natural) ma, rather than the komal (flat) ma.
On the Rudraveena, a rare and ancient Indian instrument known for its deeply resonant and meditative sound, Raag Madhuwanti can evoke a powerful, emotive atmosphere. The raga’s scale combines both unique elements:
Aaroh (ascent): N S G M D N S’
Avaroh (descent): S’ N D M G R S
The key phrases emphasize Madhuwanti’s gentle, yearning nature, and on the Rudraveena, the use of microtones and the long, held notes are ideal to bring out its depth. This creates a serene and introspective performance, highlighting the raga’s emotional depth and the instrument's rich tonal quality.
