EVERYTHING You Need To Know About Neil Patrick Harris (Hollywood’s Biggest Phony)

Coffee and Cults

506,034 views

Neil Patrick Harris has been a fixture on television since the late 1980's & has become incredibly famous for his versatility as an actor & Broadway performer, & also for the characters he plays like Barney Stinson from How I Met Your mother & Doogie Howser. Neil Patrick Harris started as a successful child actor on television & made the difficult leap in adult roles. He took his child stardom & his roles in made for tv movie roles in his late teens and early 20’s & managed to use those roles as a springboard into a successful & wide ranging career in Hollywood, not just as an actor, but also as a Tony Award-winning Broadway performer, host of the Oscars, the Emmys and the Tonys, and he also eventually built an image around being the charming, talented, seemingly wholesome Hollywood family man with the coolest halloween parties.

But underneath that carefully constructed image is a very different history of controversies, questionable jokes and moments that have aged very badly. Some of them were relatively minor incidents that disappeared almost immediately, but there are certain others controversies that have resurfaced more recently that caused people to see Neil Patrick Harris in a totally different light. And when you hear about one story in particular, I don’t think you’ll be able to see him in the same way ever again.

The cake of Amy Whinehouse is so heartbreaking to me. It’s sad to see people with no empathy or respect to people.

These days being a celebrity 'exposed' as merely an egotistical arsehole is practically a compliment compared to being exposed as a serial assaulter.

The Harris family was known to be sketchy in their Albuquerque days (I mean, they were lawyers AND operated a restaurant. If they bought a recovery service or got into politics, it would have been the dirtbag trifecta). They didn't exactly MOVE to LA but bounced back and forth, and young Neill's success had a lot to do with them being able to throw a LOT of money behind him.

Harris has that theater kid energy that's sometimes a front for a narcissistic personality.

Ryan Reynolds meeds his own episode too! (The way he hijacked deadpool until the director quit, his Jeckyll and Hyde behaviour...)

The platter of Amy was so much worse than I thought. I'd never seen a picture of it before. Completely absurd and cruel to her memory.

The Amy Winehouse corpse platter make me sick.

The Amy Winehouse platter horrifies me and just breaks my heart. I was in the UK at the time and not long before she died I remember her parents, especially her father, were really heartbroken and paralyzed as to how to help Amy overcome her addiction. He would do interviews asking for the public to understand that their criticisms and unkindness were also further isolating her in her downward spiral. (People would caller her Amy Wino and make fun of her disheveled and disoriented state in her photos, it was incredibly sad). So fuck NPH for doing that. 😡

"Doogie Houser" started before they moved to LA. I know this because when the show first aired, he was attending La Cueva High (the rich kid school in Albuquerque) and nobody liked him because he was a snob. Yeah, the other rich kids in Albuquerque thought he was a snob. I'm sure it was really hard for him.

I like to remember him in his purest form. As that weird psychic ferret guy from Starship Troopers.

I've never seen How I Met Your Mother, but I would love to hear about the drama behind it.

Well now I want to hear about the Alyson hannigan, Jennifer love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar gossip!

He'd be the perfect Beavis in a Beavis and Butthead live action movie.

@Sopole-m4z 3 weeks ago

Years ago a gossip guy referred to nph and his hubby as "mean gays" he met them at a party and they made fun of a lot of people. There are all types of a holes in the world. He just happens to be a talented famous one.. thanks again

MVP! Please give us the Sarah Michelle Geller, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alison Hannigan tea please!! 😅

@Stargazing_Lily_YYC 3 weeks ago (edited)

He’s been dead to me since he served that Winehouse meat platter.

He just makes my fuckin’ skin crawl to look at him.

MVP! I fucking love your tv series deep dives but goddamn do I hate Debra Messing, so a video about her and (absolute goddess) Megan Mullally would be fun as hell.

Very surprised that ‘behind the scenes’ videos don’t do as well… they’re my fav!❤

I met him once at my old job. He was so rude to the lady that was helping him. I told him I used to be a fan, but I'm absolutely disappointed in who you turned out to be in real life. This was before I learned more about him. His husband smiled, he did not. He was dragging his kids behind him.
