The most emotional aspects of life are associated with conflict. It's very difficult for us not to react when we're treated rudely on public transport, provoked at work, or even when a social media conversation can drive us crazy. What can we even say about loved ones? Rude teenagers, parents who sometimes continue to believe they can dictate their adult children's lives, and spouses. Serious and lasting conflicts with them can ruin our mood. Some have been bullied at school or unexpectedly found themselves the outcast in their university class. Our entire world is permeated with a positional struggle for justice and the search for answers to the questions "who is right and who is wrong?" How should we behave in conflict situations to avoid feeling vulnerable? What psychological skills should we learn to respond gracefully to a bully and resist provocation? We discussed all this with psychologist and motivational coach Irina Kovaleva in the new episode of Self-Knowledge.
