On the program "Tenemos que Hablar" (We Need to Talk), we spoke with César Revilla, a congressman from the Fuerza Popular party representing Piura, about the legislative powers granted to the Executive branch and the debate that will now move to the Senate. Revilla maintains that the Senate could review and expand upon the matters discussed in the Chamber of Deputies, and believes that incorporating at least the 29 points that garnered support from three political blocs would represent progress.

The congressman also commented on the role of the Armed Forces in combating organized crime and defended the need to broaden the legal framework so they can more effectively support the Police. Furthermore, he questioned the conduct of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies during the session and indicated that Fuerza Popular should internally evaluate a potential motion of censure.
