If I'd known you were coming to Cardiff, I'd have met up with you! We have met a couple of times before when I've been up to Manchester. I live just 20 minutes away, I would have joined you and grabbed some photos on a walkabout. Hope our capital city was good to you. Always welcome here! That fella telling you to go up the valleys, I agree with him, you'll see what life is really like in S Wales, all ex-mining towns. But tbh, you could waste a week in the valleys and not get any worthwhile content. BUT... You would see the ridiculous amount of barbers and takeaways that have been planted there. That alone is a story in itself. My hometown made the news a few months ago, because the main high street has 14 'Turkish' barber shops, on a street that takes about 3 minutes to walk from one end to the other, in a town that has a population of less than 7,000, of which only about a quarter would actually need a barber. So, where are they making their money to pay their rent and taxes?? Lovely people up the valleys though, you won't get grief off a single person. If you ever want to see that place the next time you come to S Wales, give me a shout 👍😅
