This is one of the best videos I've seen about being effective and efficient without using a planner so perfect you're afraid you'll spoil it by writing in it! So sensible. Trust a teacher! Thank you very much.

What a lovely and calm (and frugal) way of pulling one's life together :)

Well done!    Never really see anyone get into keeping it simple and useful.   Thank you for taking the time.  Very helpful.

Love the straightforward, less complicated approach! As a retired children’s librarian, this approach reminds me of Tomie DePaola’s picture book SIMPLE PICTURES ARE BEST. Thanks for sharing that it’s about functionality and not necessarily all the bells and whistles.

I love this! Instead of trying to fit everything into a ready made planner the planner is customized to fit you.
For a spending tracker I use a 30 day calendar & weekly totals in the margin. This is my new favorite channel❤

There needs to be a way to hype your videos.  So many people who want to start planning but don’t believe they can afford it due to all the fancy planners that are hyped by influencers.

I am so proud of you to be able to show all of these people that having a planner does not need to be hundreds of dollars.  Thank you.

I accidentally stumbled on your channel after listening to other cash stuffers on YouTube.
I immediately fell in love with the easy planner idea and your calm, steady voice.
I have ADHD so when I try complicated planners my brain can't focus therefore this easy notebook idea is amazing.
Also your calm and steady voice is a blessing to my already wired brain

Thank you. I was using an expensive planner system which was supposed to tell me how to clean my home every day (and thereby lower my stress). But my anxiety skyrocketed as I could never get through the checklists and every day the lists were daunting on top of my work and parenting responsibilities (plus I have other stuff I want to remember like my meds and washing my face). I also resented being told to exercise every day. I bought the system again for 2026 and as the days began getting closer, I decided to just donate all of it, despite the money spent.

I grabbed a regular 5 subject spiral notebook similar to what you’re showing but with some tabs so I can write in it while I’m on the couch. Inside is pretty bare bones just like this. This was all inspired by one of your older videos on dollar store planner. 2 weeks in and I’m SO happy and relaxed.

I love this idea of using a notebook, and your setup is so simple but so good!
At the beginning of the month I like to  make a list of meals that my family and I would like to have. I can add to the list throughout the month as I am inspired lol. Then as I plan out each week I pick 4 or 5 meals from the list for the week. I always leave a night or two for leftovers.   I try to keep meal ideas simple and easy so I’m more likely to make those meals. 😂. Hope that can help someone.
By the way, your voice is so calming!  Loving your channel 😊

Thank you for being so specific, for some one who has tried many times to do this it was greatly helpful!!!!

I’m so glad I found you! I LOVE planners but I’ve been looking for something more budget friendly and that I could make more personalized to my needs in a planner. I think this gives me the option I can easily try and see if I can get more use out of it. I’m a journaling person and have been looking at my fresh notebook thinking “ but how do I start?” Thanks for the inspiration!!
As a retired empty nester I feel like you just answered a prayer for me and my planning heart.

Hi I love this so simple planner I suffer from overthinking and depression so my mind is all over the place this idea will be great for me ❤️Thank you for bringing this to us❤️❤️❤️

You can create whatever sections that you want! I have struggled with planners because they don't always have exactly what I need in them what platter has one thing another player has another thing. I can create a planner that has both!

I wish I would have seen this before I bought a happy planner! Love this idea!!!!

I'm so envious of your handwriting 🤣😍

Creating your own planner gives you more flexibility in how you want your planner layout to be. You have what is most important to you. I find that when you actually  write out things, as opposed to typing, you're more likely to remember or recall what you plan.
There are a lot of nice planners out there but they may contain elements that you may not necessarily want or need.

Hi, Cat! I came here for help with setting up my notebook planner as ready-made planner formats don’t always fit my needs. I’ve been going through some things, and reading the scripture verse was a message from our Lord and Savior that is very relevant to my situation. Sister in Christ, thank you for your calming, encouraging, and helpful videos. Blessings!

I absolutely love your planner! Everything you need for in a simple mode. Thank you so much for sharing I enjoyed watching your video and channel ❤😊

MA'AM.  i love your planner.  and me NOT being calm.  i appreciate you so much.  i do not like it when these planners try to out do each other with decorating.  3 fake plants, 2 candles...a lineup of little noteback and cash wallets...blah blah and on and on.  but the worse of all is when all that stuff takes up space and i cannot see the writing or ink on the paper.  also, thank you for not thinking you have to talk with your hangs constantly.  when they do that...i ditch the channel.  i find myself following their hands around the video and it drives me nuts.  LOVE YOUR PLANNER!  THANK YOU SO MUCH MAAM!
