The first man was the wisest.

You should have asked "Do you know WHY the bombs were dropped on Japan?". That is the whole reason I watched the video to find out

you start a bar fight sometimes you end up on the floor

Gentleman in yellow jacket has my view. In a long war both sides will inevitably use anything to end the fighting.

0:53 This guy is knows how the world works.

Japan itself had perpetrated horrible things, so to harbor resentment for someone who reciprocates would be hypocritical.

The first man seems so wise

I'm an American, and my Father-in-law was born before the bombs were dropped. He even said, back when I first came to visit, "Our countries were enemies then." But I've lived here over a decade now, and he has never once hinted at any animosity toward my nationality. I've received many firm handshakes and thanks from him after a night out drinking together in a group. So I don't even think it's a generational issue. I think the only people who have hard feelings toward the US would be those who watched their loved ones suffer for an extended period due to the bombs. That sort of pain is hard to overcome, and the need for "justice," or revenge, would be easily understood.

"mom's cooking is the best"
he won the whole thing

Pearl Harbor and the war crimes against all of Asia they have no business being mad.

This is definitely a very complicated question, I do agree with many ppl in the video, especially the young ones

Both my parents were of Chinese origins, both of them despise Japan for what they did in Nanjing, in which they were referring to the Nanjing massacre. While what is done in the past can’t be forgiven, I don’t really hold any resentment towards Japan, the brutality of war is scary, but Japan is not like how it was 80 years ago.

Really interesting, candid observations and views on such a difficult topic.  I was stationed in Sasebo back in the '80s, went to Nagasaki Peace Park a few times.  Very sobering.  My wife of 35 years is from Sasebo.  Appreciate you taking the time and having the courage to pose this question as you did.

There are no winners in war, family and friends on both sides end up crying. 😭

Blame the government not me, I wasn't here 80 years ago. My parents weren't alive either.

I clicked this to have in my library to watch later, but was immediately sucked in. I have to watch more of this & see your other videos. It's always great to understand outside viewpoints.

The japanese must look at the foundation they are standing on today. An external pillar may provide support for a time, but if it remains the primary load-bearing structure, the original design of the house will eventually be lost to a blueprint that wasn't theirs.

Great video, love it! Thanks bro!
