Mr. Dark this is elite level selecting and the true art of club djing. I can confirm that you  are legit.

I need a room like that. And then I’d need thousands of hours to sit in there and listen.

I have much respect for Charlie and the massive breakdown of dj culture that he is bringing here. He is giving a master lesson in so many things! I can tell he is a loving teacher and super effective communicator with everyone he meets. Respect due.

heard Theo for the first time at Fabric’s birthday
remember how he mixed Yellow Magic Orchestra into Herbie Hancock.
everybody was jumping and smiling and sweating…
one of the happiest moments in my entire life
thank you so much for this interesting “lesson”!

Beautifully informed conversation, a joy to watch. It took me back to the night I first saw Theo at Plastic People. I was new to London and completely on my own, but the dancefloor and the music welcomed me with open arms!

I loved every minute of this great musical journey.... thanks  for keeping it interesting,..real,..&) attention grabbing to the end.... BTW great choice of musical examples too.

The knowledge Charlie Dark has on Theo Parrish is incredible.

Thank you, Charlie Dark for sharing your pasion and insights into the mystery arts of the DJ.   Fantastic to hear someone talking about it in such an open and honest fashion.   I'm nearly 50 and in the last couple of years have dusted my records down, added to my collection and started to play out in small venues.   It's a journey!!

london was so blessed to have theo at plastics every month....amazing sets

I'm 55yrs and just started to Dj.
Last year I played in a small pub in Bulwell.
I play any record I like.
I've had some complaints about not playing to the crowd.
Now a year later they seem to get my choices.
I played this weekend and more people are opening up.
I played 2hrs of Disco.
That was the killer moment. They liked it so much im doing the NYE Show.
Theo,s Dj kicks will get a spin that night I'm sure.

The air of mystery is so correct, that's what's so unique about Theo,  no social media of his records collection, what he's gonna play etc etc

This is gold! Thank you so much for this

1st tune features Vito Money, Andreya Tiana, Adi Dick, Steve Spacek, Om'mas Keith, Sofie L, & Captain Coolbreeze.

I had the pleasure of picking Theo Parish up from the Southport Weekender early 2000s and driving him to a night called Asylum in Leeds. We talked about Mustang cars, car racing and music….What a guy… I don’t think I appreciated those few hours, at the time, as much as I do now.
Thank you Charlie for this, I loved every minute of it ❤

“More about performance than connection” 🎯 The Boiler room Effect.

This is excellent - well done. Great choice of host & artist focus. Charlie's natural - clued up, articulate, experienced and a natural, passionate educator.  And wonderful selection of lesser obvious Theo cuts and DJ'ing / club culture anecdotes / insights.   More of these please.   Artist focus talks like this from Charlie or similar peers.

We need a track list 😃

Love Charlie because I know he’s my people. Played that Herbie piece which I knew instantly and I laughed to myself

I love everything about this. Salute Ojas, Charlie Dark, Vinyl Factory, and the man, Theo Parrish.
