“Life is dark. Life is bright. Life is ugly. Life is beautiful. Don’t get lost in genres, they’ll only disorientate you. Music is for everyone.” -Vessel

The drummer (ii) is heavily influenced by gospel drummers like Eric Moore. He is a beast. If you haven't yet, you should check out his offering on Drumeo. Absolute fire 🔥 🔥🔥

It's crazy because Sleep Token has never once claimed to be solely a metal band, in fact they specifically mentioned that they don't limit themselves to one genre, and yet so many people criticize them for not being "real metal" and it's like yeah? They're not meant to be???

Sleep Token: "we don't confine ourselves to one genre"
Metal purist: "But are they real metal?"
Sleep Token: "don't get too much in the genre, you'll only get disoriented, music is for everyone"
Metal purist: "BUT ARE THEY REAL METAL?"

Yooo we need that Sleep Token - Caramel reaction 🔥🔥🔥

Shout out to the free thinkers. Sleep Token are definitely thinking freely while composing their shit.

Brilliant reaction guys. Death metal head here and good music is good music 🎶

You don’t listen to sleep token. You FEEL sleep token.

The gentle fade out from this song makes me think the next track is going to be Vore-esque. 👏

2:05 you could not have said this better! I swear, every person hating on Sleep Token always compares them to metal, when they have never once claimed to be a metal band.

You know its good when they bob their heads simultaneously and don't say a thing

Sleep Token is just one of those bands that instantly intrigued me. Not many bands have ever done it the same way as them, but any band that HAS done it has become my true favorites in life. I am so excited for this new album. I see how people can say they may be overhyped, but I just can't agree that it's false or unwarranted. I think for a band to truly carve out a large audience nowadays, you have to have that something.

the drummer is putting in some work with this, it's insane... the timing is something straight out of a high level music school and let's not forget the amazing sax from Gabi

I like the fact that after the first pause you guys did, once the song kicked in, you guys never paused again, like they kept you guessing and you guys didn't want to pause. Good reaction and thanks for reacting to the alternative, rock, prog, metal music, it's my favorite from you guys! 😉😉

Sleep Token is just unbelievable! My favorite band in the last decade.

Sleep token is their own genre. And no one can tell me that this isn't art and musical genius. Each song is so them, but also so unique in itself. I love that you can feel four different emotions in a song. Listening to sleep token is a journey.

The drummer II stated that some of his drumming influences are Abe Cunningham (Deftones) and Tony Royster Jr (Jay-Z) amongst others. You can definitely hear the metal and gospel chops style in his drumming. The dude is a monster. I recommend watching II’s performance on Drumeo.

y’all hit the nail in the head they are en route to go down as one of the best prog bands to do it

8:18 yeah they know what's up
