With Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 coming in the near future (questionable claim) lets take the opportunity to check out the massive franchise of yesteryear that spawned it. Bloodlines is not the only video game to spin off from the 90's Megahit tabletop franchise.

Vampires, Werewolves, Wraiths and more. It's a World of Darkness.

"Oh fuck they are just a bunch of nerds" sounds like a great compliment

I'm thinking "I should play Wraith the Oblivion" in the same way some might think "I should call her."

I guess I know what I’m listening to for the next 3 hours.

I always love in the werewolf game when they send your human wife to infiltrate a highly guarded facility and have you, a warewolf, making sandwiches and watching the tents back at camp.

Wraith sounds like a really good setting for a Disco Elysium style cRPG.

please make more World of Darkness videos. I really like your commentary and opinions and it's refreshing to see videos from someone who's not an idiot on the setting. thanks for the hard work

hypothesis based on the end bit: punk is currently in the entropy of victory stage of a rebellion, where the old order (everything is fine) has been toppled via a united effort, and now everyone who used to be united against it have splintered apart and are fighting to become the new order (this is how we fix this)

Man. I'm so glad you started covering World of Darkness. I wasn't such a fan of the system (didn't hate it, just didn't know it) but then you made this and now I'm seriously considering trying one of the games out, both the TTRPGs and the games. I love rewatching these

The last time I was this early, there weren't any Antidiluvians.

Damn, Will. What have we done to be spoiled so well by you? Just going to relax and give this a nice, long listen.

Wraith is such a gem of lore and personal anguish/understanding. It may not be good for tabletop but the stories are endlessly fascinating. Just listening to your overview brought back the feeling of doomed hope and inevitable despair of a life long lost but forever reflected. It's just SO good!

Redemption is what got me into V:tM. I roleplayed a bit on Nihilistic's forum, where I learned of the Lasombra and their Obtenebration. As a budding photographer, I immediately gravitated to the clan. So of course, they went and ruined my beloved clan by nerfing the most interesting discipline in the game, and turning us into necromancers because the Giovanni got their deserved end.

The modern Masquerade can bite me.

It took me half an hour to realize that this is a compilation of videos I've seen before. I guess I'll watch them again.

Great wrap up re: the challenge of renewing the punk heart at the core of WoD, and the need to see youth voices in that work. I'm all here for Trotsky's Permanent World of Darkness.
