On April 20, 2026, the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy hosted a panel discussion and community conversation to launch our latest report, "Taking Account: A History of Racial Harm & Injustice Against Black Illinoisans." The report was published in collaboration with the Illinois African Descent-Citizens Reparations Commission (ADCRC).

Featured speakers included Dr. Terrion Williamson, Dr. Elizabeth Todd-Breland, Marvin Slaughter, Jr., Alonzo Ward, and Dr. Amber Hendley. Director Raven DeVaughn offered opening remarks.
