Our grandparents raised children  in small homes 🤷🏻‍♀️

Finally a real house tour with thrifted furniture! So refreshing. Thank you for your transparency. This is how most of us live, but it’s hard to remember that when we’re bombarded by million dollar house tours

I appreciate it when people show what real homes look like. ❤

Its rare to see a young couple so smart with their purchases especially a home.  I love the fact that ;you purchased a home that is in your budget and not a McMansion.  Bravo to you and your husband.  It is a beautiful home. We were raised in a 3 bedroom house and we were a family of 8.  One bedroom for the girls and one for the boys.  Bunk beds all around.  My siblings and I have such great great memories of those times.  Love, not space is whats most important in a home.

My daughter and son in law have a 1200 square foot home for a family of seven. They bought their home when they got married 15 years ago. Like you their interest rate was very low. They were able to finish their basement by adding 2 small bedrooms and a 3 piece bathroom. They have been able to pay off their mortgage. They may move someday when the kids are older but for now they are enjoying living in a mortgage free home. Smaller can work😊. Your home is beautiful!!

Hi Alora, thank you for the tour of your lovely home.  I’m 62 and my husband and I stayed in our starter home.  When we were younger I always wanted a bigger house with more room but we just never to took the plunge.  Honestly I’m so glad that we never moved because I can’t imagine trying to clean a big home at my age.  I’m just grateful to God that I have a home.  You are blessed to have the basement space.  We live in Southern California and we don’t have basements or usable attic space.
We raised two Sons here and it worked out fine.  Ours is a three bedroom, two bath home.  In 2005 my Husbands parents paid to add an addition onto our home which they could live in as they were older and starting to have health issues.  My Father in law passed in 2023, my Mother in law is 91 and eventually that space will be ours .  ❤

Your house is so cute! It’s refreshing to see someone be able to “make do” with items instead of feeling pressured to keep buying the next trending thing. And I also appreciated the real life with storing and reshuffling things with growing kids. It inspired me to appreciate what I already have and rework some things to make my home feel more decorated but still practical.

Girl, you are a girl after my own heart haha!! You are so good at organizing and using your space well. I love to organize!! Your home is beauitufl and cozy!

Less Is more❤  Kids don't Need a play room. They can play anywhere: in their room or in the kitchen.
My Kids play all the time in the livingroom 😊

I just came upon your video. I am a 67-year-old grandma of four and I just enjoyed this video so much.  Thank you. It brought me right back to when my husband and I were starting out. Hardly any money, counting the pennies trying to do things like you. It’s just brought back all those memories. Your house and decorating is absolutely wonderful and you’re like me. I love to decorate. Our kids shared rooms together and it was great. We made do with what we had. I wanted to be at home mom and like you I’m a woman of faith. I think we need more homemakers in the world. We need more people of FAITH and more women staying home like you and making beautiful homes for their family. God bless you all.❤

Your house is so cute! I definitely think that finishing the basement would be a game changer once you have baby number 3. You could also add a second bathroom down there. 😊

I hardly ever buy anything full price anymore! Thrifting is my favorite thing as an adult haha. Thank you for sharing, your home is so cozy!! ❤

Family of 4 livin also living in their  2021 starter home! Our home in the south is only 750 sq ft! We also only have 1 bath room and 2 bedrooms. I always find it so great so many homes have basements. It’s like a whole new world down their of extra space to make what you want if it.  We dont have that here. Great video,
Loved watching your tour!
God bless your family

Your house is beautiful!  I love how you decorated your living room and kitchen.  Your basement gives you great storage space!

I love your dining room , my only option is the art work wall is hung to high it makes the room feel crowded. But your home concept is so refreshing. I also have a smaller older home that we purchased in 2021  it’s lived in and cozy.

Young lady, you’re doing it the right way. My husband and I bought a 1000 ft.² home with one bathroom and we have raised four children in it.  No one use the restroom on themselves because I couldn’t use the bathroom. My father grew up with two brothers and his parents in an 800 square-foot home one bathroom and again everybody was fine.  My husband and I are older now and we plan on purchasing a new home or building and we will not do anything over 1200 ft.². The truth is you really don’t need that much room especially if you don’t have a lot of stuff, and I personally feel that a smaller home makes for a happier and closer family.

So refreshing to see a beautifully decorated home similarly sized to mine!!

It blows my mind hearing a house that new being called a "fixer upper" but I'm sure it's possible. I own a 123 year old house that is the same size but has no less than 5 layers of flooring before you get to the original wood in my kitchen. My little home was built as a logging house in 1903 and therefore was never designed to be a "forever home", but as you mentioned, life surprises you sometimes. Grateful that we find ways to appreciate our little homes for the shelter, warmth, and memories that they provide for our families.

This is very refreshing! Beautiful home! Very smart family!❤

I have almost that exact same bench in my kids'  bathroom. The baskets added to it is such a brilliant idea. I am gonna go do that! Thank you for the upload! Loved the realistic house tour and the DIY ideas
