Three days of groceries. A sunny autumn day in Hokkaido.
This is my frugal life — small, quiet, and simple. And I think it is happiness.

In the morning, I clean as usual and prepare for winter: the down comforter comes out, the kotatsu is set up, and the cats come to "help." After a short walk under pale autumn leaves, I go shopping at a local supermarket with my new camera, and then enjoy a simple lunch of leftovers at home.

All prices in this video are converted into US dollars at the rate of $1 = ¥157.3 (Oct 1, 2026). Today's three days of groceries came to $20.19.

It is not a perfect budget, and I am not trying to prove anything. I simply chose this way of living, and I am glad I did.

What does a typical grocery run cost where you live? I would love to hear it in the comments.
