This was my first ever thru-hike and also my first time hiking above 4000m.

Thru-hiking Mount Siguniang in Sichuan, China, on the famous Changchuanbi (长穿毕) trekking route. Over 3 days, we trekked 32 km (20 miles) across the mountains of Western Sichuan, climbing 800 m to a high pass at 4680 m.

Mount Siguniang (Four Sisters Mountain) is one of the most spectacular trekking destinations in Sichuan’s Hengduan Mountain Range, sometimes called the “Chinese Alps.” The Changchuanbi route connects Changping Valley to Bipeng Valley, making it one of the most popular multi-day hikes in the region.
