Let's see. If I'm talking to someone and they tell me ANYONE is on the burn pile burning, I'm calling police. Not 'do not say anymore to me' and good night. Complicit. Complicit. Complicit.

Also remember she lied to rusty about Gary having terminal throat cancer! She had been planning his demise for ages!

Melody is completely selfish, kills her husband of 38 years and blames her grieving son

@holylandfan3275 1 year ago

The calls from the jail are the main ones that sealed her fate for guilt if I were on the jury. They said EVERYTHING, without saying everything. 😡

She said, "He's on the burn pile" B E F O R E his body was found!!!

I think the jury is probably highly insulted that the defendant and her boyfriend want them to accept this BS.

She better get life in prison. I can just see her smug face if she gets off. Justice for Gary and his kids.

Doesn't he think if she killed her husband and gets away with it, his life could end the same way if they marry? She's a total controller!

What’s wrong with her mouth? And also, I’m 65 and married for 40 years. What despicable old people running around with each other defiling their wedding vows. Just old fools.

@claira8601 1 year ago

If she was innocent, when they spoke on the phone they'd be talking about who could have done it, and how they can prove it. Clearly, these calls show he knows she is guilty.

The statement was, "He IS on the burn pile." It wasn't "He WAS on the burn pile." This suggests present tense... thus, she told him WHILE Gary's body was still burning.

Imagine being 72 years old and now living through a murder trial. My God anything is possible

Guilty as charged

The investigator brought up some very good points. The logical response would be, What do you mean?” after hearing he’s on the burn pile unless Rusty had an idea she would or could murder her husband. He seemed to know what she meant without any context. And as the investigator pointed out, after days and days of phone calls that was the only one in the middle of the night.
