Excellent tips! Thanks for posting! My husband and I have watched several of your videos. We currently live in Texas but my husband is being considered for a job in Casper. I confess, as a native Texan, Wyoming is a bit intimidating despite the fact that we do live in rural Texas. Water well included 😅

This is good information! I've been watching a few of the other Wyoming real estate content creators and they have some good stuff too but this nitty gritty "Oh, I didn't even think of that" information is very useful. That con about vehicle registration is an eye opener but it makes sense in a predominately rural state without an income tax. You probably wouldn't survive in Wyoming without a vehicle, so that's where the tax man gets you.

I was in Thermopolis about 10 or 12 years ago to hit up the hotsprings on our way back from Yellowstone, and I remember telling myself "If I ever want to just disappear from the world, and having to make money isn't a problem, than this is where I'll be." Now that we are considering moving to Wyoming, we are very much interested in Casper because it's only a few hours away, plus I can still be a electrician out there as well.

I am glad to hear about walking trails along the Platt River. Please tell me if there are bears or cougars out there… we are moving to Wyoming next summer and we have been taking exploration trips and Casper is currently on our “check I out to see” list. Do we need bear spray as I read Wyoming is bear country?
