Former police officer, corrections officer, Navy veteran, and investigator Andrew Skoklo answers some of the internet’s most-asked questions about police, prison, crime, and what actually happens behind the badge.
Can cops tell when you’re lying? What’s the #1 mistake people make during a traffic stop? What should you NEVER say after getting arrested? Do police officers treat other cops differently? What happens when a bodycam doesn’t match the police report? And does seeing your first dea* body change you?
After years of working in law enforcement, corrections, and criminal investigations, Andrew gives his perspective on the questions people have always wanted to ask a cop.
No scripted police answers. Just real stories, experiences, and opinions from someone who spent years on the inside.

- Never offer information
- Never consent to field sobriety
- Cops can and will lie to you
- Your life, rights, and freedom are irrelevant to them
Obscuring the camera, repeating/yelling “stop resisting” and using that as an excuse to beat the hell out of people.
Jerking people's arms and manipulating their joints in such a way that they have a natural human resistance to pull away because of pain and then yell over and over, “stop resisting” and then beat their brains out.
Cops are out of control and qualified immunity needs to be abolished. They’re supposed to do their job based on the Constitution. For every constitutional right we have, police have figured out 10 ways to circumvent them.
Most of the time they can't even go to the right address, and once they get all dressed up and turned on they can't seem to stop and think I'm at the wrong address. The same is true with their inability to read license plates correctly.
If they’re supposed to be the most amazing human beings on earth, how come all the good cops don't stop the bad ones. They stand around and watch them assault and beat the shit out of people, many times killing them.
They constantly violate their rights to intimidate them into compliance.
If there's so many good cops out there. there should hardly ever be a cop committing criminally sadistic actions on anyone. It's now a totally corrupted profession, and they all feel some sort of sense of obligation to take up for other cops no matter whether they're breaking the law or not.
They actually murder people, then claim that the killing was within “department policy”, and walk away free while the citizenry pay enormous penalties for their egregious actions. Pennsylvania v. Mimms is simply an excuse for cops to rip people out of cars and physically abuse them. It’s creation has eliminated professionalism almost entirely.
Kudos 👏 😎.
