After 627 hours and 34 minutes of playtime, 663 days after starting to seriously go for this boss,
I finally stand at the summit of this mountain I decided to climb.
My dream of beating this boss finally came true.
I have finally proven to myself that I can do it. That anyone can.
I touched the stars.
I felt on top of the world.
There are probably millions of ways to attempt to describe this feeling, but words alone will never be enough.
I have daydreamed of this moment so many times ever since starting and now it finally came true.
A pretty significant chapter of my life is now over.
This boss has been on my mind so much ever since I started attempting it and now that my story is told, I might finally move on.
I don't think I could ever get enough of this feeling.
This feeling of pushing myself further than I ever thought was possible and the feeling of being rewarded for that.
I originally decided to want to clear this boss as kind of a mental test, to see how far I can go with sheer determination.
To prove to myself and everyone else, that anyone can do such amazing things. Even me.
It ended up taking way longer than I first thought it would, but I am so proud to have made it all the way.
And I sincerely hope that you believe me when I say this:
Doing these incredible things doesn't require talent. What you can or can't do isn't set in stone at birth.
Anyone can do it. It's all about just not giving up.
It's about rising again from the ashes every time you fall.
And truly, you can always decide to not give up.
Don't let your story be written for you.
I'm not trying to tell you to put in hundreds of hours to clear a stupidly difficult modded boss in a video game.
That's obviously not the right thing for everyone.
This applies to so many more things in life.
You can do so much with hard work and by just believing in yourself.
Granted, that in itself can be incredibly difficult sometimes, but
Whatever problems you're facing right now, whatever dreams you may have, whatever goals you wish to accomplish, I'm sure you can do it!
I believe in you!!
Originally I intended to put the whole 3.0 lore here.
My whole story with fighting this boss.
When I remembered that youtube descriptions have a 5000 character limit, I was already at double that amount...
oops...
That's why there's only the last part of it here.
You can read the full lore on pastebin tho!

It's sad that the story and journey ends just like that.
But this was truly everything I could've ever hoped for for the ending.
Thank you to everyone that was here in the premiere.
I will never forget this day.

Charms:
Legacy Quickslash, Sharp Shadow, Dashmaster, Stalwart Shell, Carefree Melody
Legacy Quickslash refers to 2 notch Quickslash, which works the exact same way as regular 3 notch Quickslash.
If you picked up Quickslash when it used to cost 2 notches, it will still cost 2 notches in the current version of the game.
The use of this is allowed by The33rdGuy's bounty rules and the official Any Radiance clears list.

Other mods:
Blind Radiance (removes the background in the Radiance fight)
CarefreeRngReset (see below)
No Screen Shake (this isn't a mod, you can disable screen shake by editing the Config.ini in your Hollow Knight install folder)
QoL (many quality of life features, I used it solely to skip the cutscene in the beginning of the fight)
CarefreeRngReset is a mod that resets Carefree Melody's chance of activating to 90.9% in the beginning of every attempt.
Carefree Melody's chance of activating increases every time you get hit and it doesn't activate, until a maximum of 90.9%.
Upon activating the chance goes back down to 0%.
Dying however doesn't reset the chance, so theoretically you can setup Carefree Melody to be at 90.9% chance of activating before every attempt, thus making the use of this mod legal.
All of the mods mentioned are allowed by The33rdGuy's bounty rules and the official Any Radiance clears list.

FAQ
I will expand this section based on questions I receive in the comments, so if something is unclear, let me know!
How can you dash multiple times in the air? / How can you do such short dashes?
In this boss fight your dashes work differently:
- You can infinitely dash without having to land, pogo or touch a wall
- You choose how far you dash, by holding down your dash button.
The maximum distance you can travel is slightly increased.
Why do you never use descending dark to give yourself invincibility frames?
In this boss fight descending dark's invincibility frames were modded out, so it is unfortunately useless.
What will you do next? Will you keep playing Hollow Knight and 3.0?
I will not be playing 3.0 anymore for the time being.
I do think it could be fun to play more, but I don't wanna spend 3h daily for another 6 months to go for a challenge like ascended (if I could even clear it in that amount of time).
There is simply no point in doing that anymore, it doesn't mean that much to me.
The same goes for other Hollow Knight challenges. I don't currently see enough value in completing them to justify the effort they'd require.
What I might try in the future is to make a guide for 3.0 to showcase the strats that were found.
I am currently working on a guide in text form, which I'll at the very least post in the Any Radiance discord.
This might also be a video (although I doubt that, as it would be a lot of effort) or maybe part of someone else's video, but in less detail (perhaps The33rdGuy once he covers my clear).
Will there be an Any Radiance 4.0?
No, the creator said that this is the last one.
Why post the video now and not 6 months ago?
Production of this video has just taken forever.
There really were things that could've gone way smoother and it really didn't have to take this long, but at the end of the day I'm super super happy with how the video turned out.
Silksong when?
I will finally be playing Silksong on my twitch channel in the near future, hopefully.
Was it worth it?
Only for what I felt in the final moment when I cleared? Maybe not.
But there is so much more to it than just that.
Learning and playing this boss was genuinely a lot of fun for me. There were so many happy moments that I had when I made progress, not just when I cleared.
Even when I didn't make progress, it was really fun to just focus and play the best I could,
to just give it all I've got in this seemingly endless battle,
to challenge myself and reach heights that previously seemed so infinitely far away.
Had I not decided to take on this boss, I never would've joined the Any Radiance community either.
I got to know so many amazing people there, some of which I can now call my friends.
Friends that have supported me on my journey and that I could proudly share my progress with.
Friends that have changed me in ways they probably don't even realise and that have taught me things I never knew about myself.
And for that I am eternally grateful.
I do not regret a single second of this grind.
