Compared to teachers in Northern Ireland, teachers in Scotland have fewer contact hours, much more non-contact hours, protected PPA, rigid and well-defined DTBs, and a robust mechanism to challenge unfair and non-contractual workload when it occurs. They also have more pay than us, the ability to do their PPA wherever and whenever it suits them, and a much nicer accent.
