Btw JT musics verse is the dragon from the Never Ending Story. The reason it’s “lower quality” is because they were going for that 80s VHS aesthetic :)

8:22 Rustage definitely liked the topic, he referenced the movies, shows, and books with his verse. Also, in the comments he gave the following crazy lore drop related to HTTYD: "Fun fact my god mother's cousin wrote the How to Train Your Dragon's books so she's a family friend :)"

I think mcgwire is undisputed when it comes to using the full weight of his personality to sell a verse

Spike is from MLP

Everyone killed it, lots of great rapping, the visuals were on point, and I especially loved how the beat kept switching up so that this long cypher never got stale (Freshy's always good at that, but this time we got ChIra, OmarCameUp, and Dan Bull also lending a hand) 🔥🔥🔥

4:38 "In any other cypher this might be the best verse" is most of this cypher in a nutshell, to be honest.

Mix's character was Mushu, from Mulan. So the 'girl' he was gassing up (in character) was Mulan.

16:55 Anora is so underrated actually she's SO good

Man, this year had some of the best cyphers in general and this one is for sure in the top 5 (just barely behind his detective cypher but that too maybe because I understood more reference there than here which might change cause I've just started Hobit)

Also why that dragon deez bar freeced😭🙏

That was phenomenal, and I love your breakdown on how Connor stresses in his rhymes!

~_~

Spike is from MLP, and assistant to the protagonist Twilight Sparkle. To go over Spike's verse a little:
"Generosity and Honesty won't get me very far; To stay in Harmony I'm gonna need the Element of Bars!" MLP has the idea of the "Elements of Harmony", including Generosity, Honesty, Kindness, Loyalty, Laughter and Magic. But for this, he needs better rap skills instead.
"I'm just having trouble keeping it down; cause when I spit fire other peoples' letters come out!"  Spike, especially in the first season of the show, would cough out fire and magically make a letter appear to give to the main characters.
"I'd trade rap skill for every gem in my snout; Maybe to Discord? This is a retelling of Faust!" Discord is a recurring character that acts as a mischief maker. Faust is a double; not only does it describe the story with a deal with the devil (where we get the idea of a 'faustian bargain'), but Lauren Faust was the primary showrunner of MLP FiM.

18:11 yes, Titanic, Profane, and Ravenous are the three Hydra items, along with Stridebreaker. They also all build out of Tiamat, which is what she is

YEESSSS THE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS BAR IS CRAZYYYY. ITS PROFANE HYDRA, TITANIC HYDRA, RAVENOUS HYDRA. SHE ALSO SAYS STRIDEBREAKER. WHAT DO THEY HAVE IN COMMON. THEY BUILD OUT OF TIAMAT AND SHES RAPPING AS TIAMET. CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Considering the lack of commentary, I don't think you realized just how Bar-Heavy the Blue-Eyes verse was. There was maybe 1 bar that didn't directly reference a card in the game, and it was talking about how Blue-Eyes was in the first set
The cards referenced include:
Dragon's Shrine
Wishes with Eyes of Blue
Vision with Eyes of Blue
Burst Stream of Destruction
Dark Magician
Lord of D.
Melody of Awakening Dragon
Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon
White Stone of Ancients
White Stone of Legends
Sage with Eyes of Blue
Maiden with Eyes of Blue
Mask of Restrict
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon

He also squeezed in a reference to Blue-Eyes White Dragon's flavor text, AND to a Yu Gi Oh movie, I believe it's Dark Side of Dimensions?

Tl;Dr: Cam cooked like fucking CRAZY

I just put on all notifications.

YURRRRR, WE UP WITH THE DRAGONS TYPES

I'm surprised Cam was on Blue Eyes instead of Rayquaza.

Yo awesome reaction. But I wanted to say, I get that rap is a sport, and there's always some element of competition, but I feel it needs to be more "who has my favorite verse" instead of "Who has the best verse"

you wanting to pet toothless is exacly the same way one would loose hand wanting to pet a lynx for example yes toothless is cute....on other hand YOU DO REALISE HE LITTERALLY BREATHS PLASMA RIGHT?!  he was catching bodies before the beginning of the movie his first real appearance was him blasting apart a catapult  he might look cute when hes not angry but hes still fucking dangerous if you dont remember that moment he had hiccup pinned under his claws thats what happens when hes NOT your friend

vikings litterally called this guy the unholy son of lightning and death itself their instruction on how to react when encountering him is to run and hide and pray to gods he doesnt find you,if hiccup wasnt pacifist and if he didnt train toothless by sheer miracle  you wouldnt remember him as the cute puppy cat dragon that people know him as
