Do these numbers surprise you? How much are you earning per month from AdSense? I’ve been between $500-$800 normally over the last 5 months.

Yall take YouTube as a hobby. If it earns u something, consider it a perk

I mean I went from 68 subs at the end of December 2025 to 1K subs in February 2026. I got monetised in April, two months after hitting 1K subs. I haven't been paid yet, but I have almost hit my payment threshold of £60.

Honestly, if I could make an extra £200 a month from doing YouTube videos within the next year or so I would be very happy. To me that sounds awesome. As you said 97% of YouTubers never even get monetised.

I agree 💯 I remember how exciting it felt to finally get into the Partner Program, and then how disappointing it was to see what the actual AdSense revenue looked like. It makes a lot more sense when you start seeing YouTube as a trust-building platform, not the whole business by itself.

This is exactly why I went and got a real full time job instead. Was trying to make videos on my other channel and just could never make anything over 250-300 dollars a month. It’s good side money but no where near enough to survive.

Those are pretty much MLM numbers.

Yep, spot on just over $100 my first month (monetized may 4th) but ive also been earning an average of $200/mo from affiliate sales a month.

Excellent video, very illuminating and great production. Thanks for putting in so much work. 🎉

It is not necessarily all about subscribers, it is about views. If you have 1000 subscribers, but you have 5 million views that’s a bonus.

We have just begun implementing a lot of the tips you shared and WOW. What a difference. Thank you! Changes we made : title with hook, added cards, added vids on screen at the end...forgot what it is called. We implemented a card link in the actual video where my daughter references a prior vid. Thank you for this and your checklist. We went through the rabbit hole of resource gold that you posted in your description. Once we reach 3,000 viewing hours, we will begin coaching with you. Hopefully your rates won't skyrocket by then. lol.

Thank you, Ty, for making this great video and sharing information. It sheds light on a subject that most of us YouTubers think about. When you lay out the math, it's much easier to see what you're up against (or what you love to do 🙂). Videos like these are worth gold.

Very insightful. Even for someone who is far from being even monetised. Thanks 👍

Month 1 was 107.24 and Month #2 was 123.44. Just getting started. The real value for me lies in the advertising potential of the GunTube world I reside in. I just received a thousand dollar 2 mile camera system that I need to make Long Range Content. No money out of pocket!

Spot on with this video Ty. I fall right at the 200 a month line. Fun times.

You said 1% of creators make $4000 a month, which you defined as an amount someone could make a living on, then you said that means only 1 in 10 are making a living. 1% making that amount is 1 in 100 making a living, not 1 in 10.

The restaurant tip jar is a good analogy. Looking only at AdSense is such a narrow way to judge how successful a channel/youtube business is. For a lot of channels, the money is not in the views themselves, but what else that audience can be funnelled into.
