As someone who watches auto shows since the 90s your camera man is a pro. The way he puts everything together is like I'm a kid again watching my Sunday morning "Truck You" and "Hot Rod TV". I love it.... He definitely knows what he is doing

2005 Pontiac GTO was built in Elizabeth, South Australia.

I have a friend that is a mechanic. I gave him a ride one day to pick up a vehicle. He got in my car and within minutes he said, your passenger side rear wheel bearing is bad. I never noticed anything until he told me. It is really amazing how mechanics are tuned in on things that daily drivers don't pick up on.

There is definitely a drain on the diff, its the lower larger bolt.

Maybe that light diff noise was the wheel bearing telegraphing to the diff. I'd fix the wheel bearing, then listen to the diff again.

There is a drain plug on the diff 13:47 . Its the bottom bolt in the center. Has a magnet on it too if its the same as the holden commodore/ monaros. If you look its a completely different bolt..

three things. First, hello. im always so grateful to have another video from your shop so I can learn new things about diagnostics with automobiles. Two, that tool truck guy should of had a backup camera at the top looking down of that truck, i thought i saw one, so he probably seen the car behind him but just got too close for comfort for bystanders watching lol. and three....the owner of that GTO was prob pissed you rolled it over 30k lol so he was going to take your findings and go elsewhere for repairs. I know i know, highly unlikely...but you never know! Thanks again for another educational video! and nice camera upgrades...i can tell we probably got a nice new lense. looking good.

What I have found is sound travels, and even though I hear noise from 1 place doesn't mean that is the actual source, I will start with the loudest noise, fix that part then retest.. this has saved me time and customers a bunch of money..

Thanks guys, I've only just recently found your channel and I love your work.. would love to get my trailblazer to you for diagnosis.. now that is a real challenge..!! 😂

I made my own vibration sensors, using knock sensors from a Ford Super Duty, attaching them to locations with magnets with the sensors wired to my scope.

I select one of the new skinny trainee technicians and instruct him to lie on a creeper, secure him to the car, and then drive along the road with him underneath the vehicle, listening with a stethoscope. I just need to verify that the road is free of potholes. 🤣 Saves a lot of money, no fancy test equipment needed.

Those GTOs have really grown on me so much. They look great. I have a 1998 Firebird and it still looks and smells brand new. The leather is perfect.

One of my older brothers had a 2005 Pontiac GTO back in the late 2000s. Fun car!
