🥖❤️NEW EP TUESDAYS @ 8am Pacific🥖❤️ Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 | EXPERT First...

UNCUT PLAYTHROUGH OUT NOW -
Don't want to wait for the next episode? The FULL (unedited) PLAYTHROUGH is available NOW for ✨MEMBERS✨
🖤 Perks include extended gameplay, a post game discussion on the endings, & 3 episodes of DLC!

When I first picked up Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I had no idea this game would become one of my favorite games of all time. I started this journey swearing that I wouldn't shed tears for the French, then found myself completely invested in the world and characters. I was fortunate enough to go into the game blind and knowing nothing of the story. Now I am finished with my Clair Obscur playthrough, I know how this story ends, and it's time to share it all with you!

These are the gently edited VoDs of my FIRST PLAYTHROUGH on EXPERT DIFFICULTY from ᴛᴡɪᴛᴄʜ livestreams. Never in my life have a played a game with this playstyle, so it was a rough start learning these mechanics. If you had told me I'd grow to adore these JRPG reminiscient turn styles with time-based mechanics requiring the precision of a Soulsborne game, I'd have laughed. Would you believe me if I told you I was one-shotting enemies by the end of this after watching the struggle this episode? Watch me not only fall in love with this game in a slow burn style, but also become absolutely overpowered in this playthrough. Enjoy the episode!

I do COSPLAY too! Check out my Baguette Outfit Sciel 🥖 Should I start posting my Clair Obscur: Ex...

this game has the best story i ever played, and i play since 1980s. its a true total masterpiece.

Renoir essentially rushing through the five stages of grief again mourning the loss of his second child in real time always gets me.

It's been a year. It still hits like it's my first playthrough. Such a majestically amazing experience packed as a game.

"I'd never thought I'd be crying for french people."
Gustave, Lune, Sciel, Monoco and Esquie: "How about crying for a friend."
"Aye, I could do that."

The fact your chat told you there was a choice was a major spoiler.

What breaks me in Maelle ending is Sciel face. She is the most empathic of all and she understand how much the situation is horrible.

@Sigfried2708 1 month ago (edited)

there is 3 musics in the game 11 min each for a total of 33min call "a life to love" "a life to paint" and "a life to dream"

This game is a masterpiece. What strikes me about the Life to Love ending is how at they very end, Alicia was truly alone, as she told Verso she would be. She was not only saying goodbye to Verso but also to everyone in the canvas, including her unbroken self as Maelle.

"Fuuuck. Fuck THAT. Fuck THAT. FUCK THAT." Everyone's reaction to that ending.

So good

2:35:16 "I bet if I spoke French, this would be exceptionally sad."

Best description of Clair Obscur I've heard.

@KujoTenshi 1 month ago

pretty common...
Verso Ending 1st: "I regret my decision."
Maelle Ending 2nd: "I no longer regret my decision."

3:23:45 I don't understand why so many people are upset if a video game makes them cry.

If a game (or a book, a movie, a TV show...) has the power to make you cry it is only a testament for how good it was.

Yes, the core team is 33 people (plus their Happiness Manager, a real dog named Monoco. But he didn't really work on the game, being a dog and all that).

However: There are a lot more people who contributed to the game do some capacity who are not members of the core team - the 8 Korean animateurs for example, the voice- and mocap actors, the team at Keppler Interactive (the publisher), the musicians (other than Lorien Testard and Alice Duport-Percier) and many more. Guillaume Broche himself once said that about 400 people contributed to the game.

Congrats on finishing the game. Not sure if you did the free DLC stuff that the devs released at the Game Awards, but it's so much fun. It's a nice "Thank You" from the dev team. The superbosses there are tough tho.
